While Obama spent eight years sucking up to Muslims and improving his golf swing, one of our cities suffered a tainted water supply, but Trump has just come to their rescue!
In an effort to repair the lead-tainted water structures of Flint, Michigan, President Trump has awarded them a $100 million grant.
This grant comes by way of the Environmental Protection Agency as part of the Trump administration’s plans to put America FIRST.
“EPA will especially focus on helping Michigan improve Flint’s water infrastructure as part of our larger goal of improving America’s water infrastructure,” said Scott Pruitt, the head of the EPA.
Problems first started for Flint in 2015 when officials decided to reroute their water supply. However, switching from Lake Huron to Flint River ultimately proved disastrous.
When the switch was made, the standards of water were not measured properly, and thus eroded the Michigan city’s pipes — leaving them with a poisoned water supply!
Under the Obama administration, Flint’s woes were virtually ignored. Under Obama, no aid was ever provided.
Fortunately, President Trump is now in office, and our country and its suffering cities can finally feel some relief.
“We are excited and very grateful to receive these much needed funds,” stated Karen Weaver, the mayor of Flint. “The city of Flint being awarded a grant of this magnitude in such a critical time of need will be a huge benefit.”
Both Republicans and Democrats in the Flint, Michigan area praised Trump and the EPA for their efforts to restore Flint’s water supply to drinkable standards. And as part of the overall effort, another $20 million was added by the local government, adding up to a whopping $120 million to solve the problem.
Instead of going off to “help” Third World countries, President Trump has once again put his problem-solving skills to work here at home. Flint, Michigan has been suffering for too many years, but their suffering may soon be coming to an end.
