9 Years Without a Budget, But Mitch McConnell Now Scared of ‘Trump Deficit’

On election day, a lot of fed up people showed up at the ballot box. Their primary objection was that there was mostly no difference between the Democrat Party and the Republican Party.

There is now one glaring example where this is ringing true. The government has not had a budget deal since 2007, and Majority Senate Leader Mitch McConnell has been chiefly responsible for trying to get one. However, he is now concerned about a “Trump Deficit,” per Joe For America.

Since the last budget was passed under George W. Bush, Congress has passed a number of different continuing resolutions, debt ceiling increases, and omnibus spending bills. Here is something you should let sink in:

In all the time Obama has been president, he has not operated under a balanced budget. Not one single day.

McConnell appears to be against any type of tax cut because he considers the current level of debt to be “dangerous.” Of course, it was partly his lack of action that led to this financial mess.

McConnell insists that his preference on tax reform is that it “should be revenue neutral.” Now, I don’t know about you, but looking at that quote literally almost made me choke up my afternoon coffee all over the keyboard! Revenue neutral? Really?

One has to wonder just where Mitch McConnell has been for the last nine years. This blowback from McConnell against Trump is going to be valueless, and the only benefit it is going to create is making one person in particular look bad, namely Mitch McConnell.

Last I checked, it wasn’t Jeb Bush who got elected, it was Trump. Apparently, it hasn’t sunk in with McConnell that Trump is not a politician, he is a businessman. And he is going to promote policy that is beneficial to both businesses and job growth.

Real estate development is an extremely tough business, and it takes a special brand of leadership. Trump’s track record demonstrates he is not willing to engage in a bunch of partisan games, especially within his own party.

Any project that a President Trump carries out is one where he will do whatever it takes to finish it ON TIME and UNDER BUDGET. Of course, using these four words might as well be using a foreign language to an individual in the government.

But while people might have been furious with Hillary, the mindset of Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan is also a classic example of why Donald Trump was elected. And they still are not getting it.
