Actor Robert Davi is firing back after Hollywood star Robert De Niro shouted “f**k Trump” during the Tony Awards over the weekend.
De Niro marched out onto the platform at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, where in front of a massive audience of his fellow celebrities, he blurted out obscenities about President Donald Trump. After earning a rousing applause and a standing ovation, he repeated the two-word phrase one more time.
Now, Davi is blasting De Niro for insulting the president. He told TMZ:
“It was disgusting. He shouldn’t have done it. It wasn’t the place for it. It’s art, art unites people, it doesn’t separate people. No matter how you feel about a president, or a candidate, you know, this is still America, and we should at least respect and have a certain decorum.”

The “Die Hard” star went on to say that, while he respects De Niro as an actor, he was very disappointed to hear him insult Trump with such vulgarity.
“I didn’t agree with President Obama, but I respected him,” Davi said. “I met him, we shook hands. All right? You don’t do that, you don’t alienate people like that, no matter what your differences are.”
Trump, for his part, slammed De Niro, whom he called a “very low IQ individual,” for his remark. The president said he believes De Niro is “punch drunk.”
