Anti-Trump Actor Shia LaBeouf Blames ‘White Privilege and Desperation’ for Arrest, Racist Rants

Actor Shia LaBeouf recently opened up about his much-publicized 2017 arrest in Savannah, Georgia, during an interview with Esquire.

It wasn’t what he was arrested for that generated headlines; it was how LaBeouf acted:

It started at 4:00 a.m. on a Saturday. A drunk LaBeouf asked to bum a smoke from two pedestrians, one of whom was a police officer. He was denied. He ignored the officer’s warnings to calm down, and was handcuffed and brought to the station. TMZ obtained Savannah police footage. Lots of it: Shia being cuffed, in the back of the police car, getting processed, each clip ickier and more damning than the last. In one, he brags about his “millionaire lawyers.” In another, he belittles a black officer for being “stuck in a police force that doesn’t give a f**k ’bout you. So you want to arrest, what, white people who give a f**k?” He suggests that a white officer’s wife watches porn involving “licking a black d**k,” continuing with “Don’t you feel like, ‘F**k, man, I ain’t got all the goods?’” One can lose track of the number of times he calls various officers “b***h” and “w***e.”

His reasoning for his behavior? Growing up in an environment with “white privilege and desperation.”

“What went on in Georgia was mortifying. White privilege and desperation and disaster… It came from a place of self-centered delusion… It was me trying to absolve myself of guilt for getting arrested,” he said. “I f**ked up.”

LeBeouf made his politics known when he set up a livestream where he and some supporters would chant “He will not divide us,” with the “He” referring to President Donald Trump.

LeBeouf had to eventually abandon the livestream as he was drawing more supporters of Trump than the supporters of “the Resistance.”

Has he forgotten he’s white also? He claims he was raised with white privilege so why is he saying he is desperate? Why didn’t he apologize for his racist comments to the police officers? Poor Paula Dean was raked over the coals for making a racial slur when she was alot younger! Another double standard…

So sad Shia, get a backbone. Be accountable for your lame behavior and stop blaming. If you are not part of the solution, you must be part of the problem. We are all part of each others life puzzle, get it together and fit in.
