Barack Obama is gone, but one recently revealed covert move by the former president is shocking… and just might be considered treason!
Former President Obama met with two high-level officials from Iran, the number one state sponsor of terrorism, Seyed Mousavian and Trita Parsi, the Washington Free Beacon reports.
Seyed Mousavian was both an Iranian diplomat and former head of the country’s national security council. He was at the White House three times during Obama’s presidency. Trita Parsi has been accused of lobbying on behalf of Tehran and was allowed to meet with Obama 33 times.
Trita Parsi is a staunch pro-Iran advocate who has been accused of hiding his ties to the Iranian government. Both Parsi and Mousavian allegedly helped create talking points and messaging which ultimately led to the Iran nuclear agreement.
Not only did Obama welcome the Iranian Islamic Republic leaders — he did so at key diplomatic moments. The visits, confirmed by White House visitor logs, seem to show Obama was reaching out to top pro-Iran advocates instead of them reaching out to him.
The actions and efforts of Trita Parsi and Seyed Mousavian also allegedly helped usher in an even larger pro-Iran deal known as the “echo chamber.” The deal was reportedly led by Obama’s top officials, who were allegedly urged to mislead Congress about the true nature of the deal.
Mousavian was Iran’s ambassador to Germany during the 90s. He served at a time when Iran’s terror network in Europe was believed to be murdering dissidents in Berlin.
“Later he came to the U.S. where he’s being paid for with tens of thousands of dollars from the Ploughshares Fund, which funded the Ben Rhodes echo chamber,” said a Free Beacon source, who is unnamed but is a veteran Iran analyst who often works with Congress. “In his writings and speeches, [Mousavian] repeats the echo chamber talking points by shilling for the Iran deal, talking up fake Iranian moderation, and spinning conspiracy theories about Israelis and Arabs. No wonder White House officials found time for him.”
Michael Rubin, a former Pentagon adviser, said the Obama administration bent over backward to host pro-Iran operatives. The mainstream media, of course, never bothered to question the White House about the cozy relationship with such controversial Iranian advocates.
“Talk about letting the fox into the hen house. Letting the head of an organization whose foreign policy positions are indistinguishable from the Islamic Republic more than 30 times would be analogous to letting the Soviet Union’s chief lobbyist help guide policy during the Cold War,” said Michael Rubin, who has advised the Pentagon. Rubin’s specialty is rogue states.
Seyed Mousavian also served as Iran’s spokesman in the international community when the Iran deal was being shopped around. During this time, he also, reportedly, visited White House National Security Council official Robert Malley. Part of Malley’s job duties was advising Obama about the Middle East and the Islamic State.
Trita Parsi is the leader of the National Iranian American Council. This group helped to push Obama’s pro-Iran narrative during talks about the nuclear agreement.
Parsi even bragged about his meetings with Obama. He said attacks against his group by Republicans and those opposed to greater diplomacy with Iran did not harm his relationship with the president at all.
