Border Agent Gives Fox Single Best Quote on Wall We’ve Ever Heard

Largely due to the intransigence of Congressional Democrats — and more than a few establishment Republicans — President Donald Trump has received very little legislative cooperation with his efforts to secure our nation’s porous southern border with a wall.

As such, it was announced Wednesday that National Guard troops would soon be deployed in the border states to provide necessary assistance to an overworked and understaffed Border Patrol agency, until such time as sufficient progress on the wall had been made.

Border Patrol agent Art del Cueto, president of the Border Patrol Union in Tucson, Arizona, and vice president of the Border Patrol Council, said Wednesday on Fox News that border agents were “very grateful” with the support they were being given by the president, as well as Trump’s focus on securing the border with a wall where necessary.

As to the oft-promised by Trump — and much-maligned by the left — border wall, del Cueto summed up its necessity with perhaps the best quote on the topic we’ve ever heard, using the analogy of locking the front door of a person’s home.

“The reason we lock our doors at night is because we love the people inside, not because we hate the people outside,” del Cueto said.

And that right there is essentially the crux of the matter when it comes to the border wall.

The wall isn’t necessary to keep all non-American citizens out of the country. It is necessary to protect the American citizens who live within the country — which is pretty much the first overarching duty of the U.S. government.

“We have somebody who’s running the country that’s putting immigration at the forefront,” del Cueto said of Trump, and he welcomed the “extra set of eyes” the National Guard troops would provide, allowing Border Patrol agents to actually enforce the laws along the border.

This isn’t the first time in recent years that National Guard troops have been deployed to provide assistance to Border Patrol agents, as similar deployments were conducted under both the administrations of former President Barack Obama and George W. Bush.

According to Arizona Public Media, the National Guard troops that will be deployed to the border won’t be making arrests or enforcing any laws, as they lack the specific training or authority to do so. Instead, they will serve in a support role to the Border Patrol agents who are already there.

That means they will be watching camera feeds, monitoring sensors and fulfilling other administrative and logistical roles, which frees up the Border Patrol agents to conduct enforcement actions like the detainment and processing of illegal immigrants and criminal drug smugglers.

“By having that extra pair of eyes, you can take the agents away from some of the camera points, some of the sensors and actually be able to have them down affecting arrests, doing their jobs,” del Cueto told APM.

CBN News reported that the Trump administration, specifically the Department of Homeland Security under Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, is currently ironing out the details of the deployments with the governors of the four southern border states.

Those state governors, with the likely exception of California, have expressed their support for the plan, as has the Border Patrol.

“It’s something that’s needed; especially out here in Arizona where we’re still responsible for close to 50 percent of all the drug seizures in the entire country,” del Cueto said. “It’s a big deal to have the extra eyes so the agents can take the time to patrol areas of the field.”

Trump is serious about securing the southern border of our nation, and given the failure of Congress to cooperate with his plans on constructing a border wall, the deployment of National Guard troops is absolutely necessary.

Since we love and cherish our fellow American citizens and want to keep them safe from harm, isn’t it high time we go ahead and “lock the door” to the country just as we do with our homes?

What a novel idea. He’s saying what most of us legal citizens have thought for years. It’s time to get the border wall. Hey Congress, are you listening? Or are you all out to lunch? Still?

Finally this man used the right analogy! We need the wall because we love our country not because we hate outsiders.

Amen! I do agree with him! And, I hope that God blesses all of our border patrol officers, even those against doing their job, & protects all so that not ONE American life is lost. But, what most of these people don’t realize is that, Congress could give a flip about the American people, except those that vote for THEM. People in California could care less about us here in Tennessee, except for those that have a heart, & would care about people being murdered, no matter their political affiliation. In fact, I would feel bad if somebody took out Gov. Moonbeam, ’cause I know that I know that HE’S gonna bust the gates of hell wide open, & there won’t be a line of people with buckets trying to get to him, nor any of the other liberal leaders in our state governments, nor in our DC government. And, please don’t tell me that I don’t know that. Yes, I do. All I have to do is read my Bible, & it tells me exactly where people like him are going to end up at the end of time, unless they go earlier. And, God doesn’t protect those who refuse to follow HIS laws! And, there are a lot of others, including so-called Christians, who are going to end up there right along with him. And, will be blaming HIM, not God, for them being there. I pray it doesn’t happen, & that nobody is killed during this invasion of illegals, even the illegals. But, as a Christian, I can attest that God, nor Jesus, does NOT love lawbreakers, & criminals, unless they repent seriously, & ask Jesus into their lives & their hearts. I know, because once I too was lost, & undone in a world of sin. And, if I had died during that time, I’d have ended up in the flames of hell too. While I was never a really EVIL person, there are no sins that are worse than any other sins, except for blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Don’t ask me what that is, I have no clue. Don’t want to either, just in case I did it accidentally. God is extremely forgiving of our sins, up to a certain point. But, just like any other parent, He has a line that you had best not cross. If you DO cross it, the results aren’t going to be pretty. He MIGHT not take your life, but He also won’t protect it either. Just as those we lost on 9/11, God knows who’s cup is filled to the brim with sin, & He knows those who are sincerely His. America had better wake up, or time or your life will end, & you’ll be found wanting. You’ll be right there alongside murderers, pedophiles, gays, transgenders, (& yes, BOTH are SINS according to God’s Word, & an abomination to Him, & a stench in His nostrils,) but, there will also be abortionists, women that had abortions, drunkards, druggies, even liars will have their place there, alongside of Hitler, George Soros, Hugh Hefner, & the list goes on, & on. Now, I’m not saying that I’m better than anybody else. I have my OWN soul to worry about, & make sure that I am in God’s will, & not man’s will. There are things that God says thou shalt not, that if you DO, your chances aren’t too good of not seeing & feeling the flames. My ONLY job with the sinful world is to WARN people of the coming judgment, & to try to tell them what their future may hold. I hope that nobody hates me, but, if you do, that’s ok. They hated Jesus, & even tortured & killed Him. And, I am NOT judging you, just telling you who the Bible names that will end up in hell. That list is in Revelation 22, & there’s another list in one of Paul’s letters in the New Testament too.I DO know though, that, if you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, He will in no wise cast you out, as long as you stop your sinful lifestyle.

That is right. We lock the door because we love the people inside, not because we hate those outside. That is the most important job of the federal government, to keep us safe so that we may live our lives and raise our families in safety. President Trump is trying to do that. I love him for that. Any time I can vote against politicians who are not helping President Trump, I will. God bless America.

All that talk about ‘love is great and all, but what is the point when the Leftist Marxists don’t love America as it is? Obama wanted to fundamentally change America….. who wishes to fundamentally change the ‘wife’ they love? Or the Children they ‘Love’.. you don’t fundamentally change what you love, you protect what you love, not risk that which you love… Unfortunately the Border Agent seems to be talking to only the people who already do love the Country.. not those that don’t love the country as he isn’t pointing these salient facts out and defining the differences.

My “donation” check towards the wall is already filled out, just let me know where to send it, President Trump!

We need the wall. One that cannot be scaled and one that cannot be tunneled under. Congress, listen to the American people and get off your aXXXXs and doe something about it.
