Popular Fox anchor Heather Nauert is reportedly in talks to became the latest personality from the network to join Donald Trump’s administration.
The Hill reported that Nauert will likely become the State Department spokesperson, pending Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s approval. She was spotted entering the White House last week for a private meeting with Trump to discuss a communications position.
Nauert has been with Fox News since 1998 and is currently a host on Fox & Friends. Trump praised the show yesterday, calling it “the most honest morning show” on television.
Nauert has an undergraduate degree in communications from Mt. Vernon College as well as master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. In addition, she is a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Back in December, former Fox News analyst Monica Crowley left the network to become Trump’s senior director of strategic communications. She was later forced to withdraw her name from the position amid accusations that she had plagiarized numerous works throughout her career.
