BREAKING: Governor Drops The Hammer on ‘Sanctuary Cities’…In Crucial Border State!

Hear that? It’s another chink in the armor of Democrats falling to the floor.

Here’s the story: One of Democrats’ most stubborn talking points in recent years has been the all-embracing welcome to illegals that they’ve steadfastly offered, no matter who’s been murdered and no matter which laws have been broken. Democrats in Democrat-controlled cities – like San Francisco, where Donald Trump’s campaign was ignited over the boardwalk shooting death of a woman named Kate Steinle at the hands of an illegal who shouldn’t have been in the country in the first place – love the sanctuary city label, and insist on keeping it even when real U.S. citizens are endangered.

It’s the armor Democrats love to don – sanctuary cities for illegals.

Well, here comes Law, and here comes Order, and they’re riding a horse named Texas. Gov. Greg Abbott, to the anguish of sanctuary city lovers, has just issued a strong statement and harsh warning.

“I’m being abundantly clear,” Abbott said, during a recent interview on Fox Business, as reported by Yes I’m Right. “I don’t care what jurisdiction you’re at in the state of Texas. You are going to comply with the law.”

Ouch. What a blow to the leftists who want nothing more than to shelter illegals from the deportation storm, despite the danger to real citizens.

And he wasn’t done.

“I’ve already issued a governor’s order cutting off funding from the governor’s office that was going to some of these juridictions,” Abbott said, the news blog reported. “But secondly, we’re going to pass a ban on santuary cities in the state of Texas that will put real teeth in this, compelling local officials to apply the law of the United States of America.”

This is just what America needs.
