The mainstream media attacks President Trump from one side. The Washington establishment hits Trump from another side. The Intel community goes after his cabinet picks. It’s an ironic joke Presidents tell each other – if you want a friend in the White House, get a dog.
But what’s happening to Trump is ridiculous. Remember he hasn’t been in office a full month. Already we have leaks, illegal criminal leaks it should be noted, from the factions opposed to Trump. We have media lying into hystery. We have protests.
The factions opposed to Trump are terrified that Trump will follow through on his promises to shake up Washington. Trump ran on a simple agenda – career politicians and special interests work for selfish not patriotic reasons. He would change this.
Take Russia. The military industrial complex makes a tremendous amount of money having Russia as enemy number 1.
When Trump simply suggested we could try to reset Russia relations and maybe focus on common ground like crushing ISIS the establishment went crazy. Obama and Hillary and George W. Bush all reset relations but when Trump does it is a scandal?
Well, a new Gallup poll sheds some light on this peculiar Washington hypocrisy. The poll shows that the American people don’t care about all the media hysteria. Or Russia. The polls show Americans view Trump as a strong leader.
One who keeps his promises. That is what is terrifying the establishment. They are fine with politicians saying they will drain the swamp, they all say it in one way or another, but no one actually follows through.
Until president Trump. So it is not surprising Trump’s poll numbers are skyrocketing, but it’s still good to see.
According the polled, 62 percent believe that Trump keeps his promises. Moreover, 59 percent believe he is a strong and decisive leader. Over half of Americans believe Trump can bring about the changes this country needs at 53 percent.
As Trump acknowledged on the campaign trail,
“The problems we face now – poverty and violence at home, war and destruction abroad – will last only as long as we continue relying on the same politicians who created them. A change in leadership is required to change these outcomes.”
Now 53% – a clear majority – still, after all the negativity coming from the hysterical media, believe Trump “can bring about the changes this country needs.”
Compared to the same poll conducted in September, that 53% rate constitutes a 13% jump for Americans in general. Even 11% more Democrats believe he can bring about change than they did in September.
Wow. When democrats start to come around you know you are doing something right, especially in these hyper-partisan times.
