California Sneakily Passes New Law That States Beginning In 2020 Presidents Will Be Required To…

In the age of Trump, the biggest enemy to the American people has been California.

This coven of vile liberals has tried to oppose the president at every turn. They’ve only succeeded at showing us just how un-American they are.

Their latest move is simply ridiculous and will most certainly be overturned.

From IJR:

As reported by The Hill, the California State Assembly passed a bill on Thursday requiring presidential candidates to release their returns. And if they refuse? They won’t be on the state ballot when 2020 rolls around.

State Sen. Mike McGuire (D), a co-author of the bill, released a blistering statement against Trump after the legislation passed:

“President Trump’s blatant disregard for the tradition of releasing tax returns is dangerous to our democracy. For decades, every President has put their personal beliefs aside and put our country first and released their returns…”

While there are no laws requiring presidential candidates to release their tax returns, SB 149 would require the release of five years of returns, which would then be published online…

As noted by Washington Examiner, while nearly 30 states introduced similar legislation in early 2016, California would become the only state to approve the legislation.

The release of tax returns is completely unrelated to a candidate’s ability to run the country. Consider the fact that Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton both released theirs—two people with shady backgrounds, who have been under federal investigations.

Tax returns prove nothing. It was simply a distraction used by democrats as a pathetic attempt to smear Trump. But obviously the American people did not agree.

When some of his tax returns did come to light, it only proved he paid more than his fair share. Right, Rachel Maddow?

This bill, if signed into law, only affects California. And considering it interferes with the democratic process of our nation, is vulnerable to getting struck down by the Supreme Court.

So good job, Cali, you once again wasted everyone’s time and resources.

Will not affect a GOP candidate to “not” be on the California ballot. The corruption of California would prevent a GOP candidate from carrying the state anyway….so who cares?

Baldy is acting strange again. He and his Gang don’t know what to do anymore. They tried every trick in the book to discredit the President nothing is working so far! Brown you may pass that fake Law, but it will never stay in the books, Supreme Court will take it down! California may be a State but it is part of the United States of America. Comes 2020 President Trump will be on the State’s Ballot. By the way who knows November 8 2018 you will be out anyway.

By the time election comes, (after 4 years) President Trump will only have 1 year of tax records that are of his life before the Presidency.

The president’s tax records are about as important to me as the previous president’s birth certificate was.

Excuse me but Sanders never release his tax returns, his excuse was always, his wife was still working on them, then he was paid off to lease the race.. he will never release his returns, as he has pulled the wool over his supports eyes, as he has always told everyone he is a poor Senator. He’s worth over 2 million, has a condo in DC, and 5 houses in Vt, a plane, fancy boat, a car worth over 75,000 and other new cars..Killary has double sets of tax returns…

Wrong- Trump is NOT the only Prez to not release his returns. And just because “they have all done it” does not mean it is etched in stone that everyone has to do it.
I’m sure you all have had THAT speech from your Mother, or Mothers, as the case may be.

Shame on you, Joy D. Brower. I’d like to see all States follow suit, at least as long as Trump is around. It’s a matter of integrity, truth and what’s best for our country. (Trump has none of these traits.) Sneaky is better than the destruction of the world and having everyone laughing at the U.S.A.

    Section 4
1: The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

Alright asshole. Here it is. Every politician who runs for office, even dog catchers, are required to turn over their tax returns for the last 5 years. All governors, city clerks, if you are elected by the people, you and your significant other, turn over tax returns. Be stupid, watch what you ask for, because it may come back to bite you in the ass.

I’m in favor of dividing California into 5 separate states. California is an outrageous “Left coast”liberal haven, and it’s immense population drags the unwilling along with their dictates. I think the 5 states produced would NOT be a hive-mind, and their thinking and beliefs will be quite different from each other.

As usual, the state of unbalanced mind that is California’s “leadership”, is wasting time on chasing shadows while ignoring things that matter. We just had eight years of an amoral president who did all he could to destroy this country, whose past is dubious, who refused to disclose even his college record, who has a social security number previously belonging to another person in Connecticut, whose Muslim sympathies have seriously hurt America, who probably is a Muslim though has called himself a Christian, clearly hates America and our Constitution, and finally, someone who was and is a puppet of anti-American groups and people such as George Soros, an evil man if there ever was one, CAIR, and the Muslim Brotherhood, just to name a couple And these facts are completely ignored by liberals such as Jerry Brown.

It’s time for people to start minding their OWN BUSINESS. CALIFORNIA has a hard enough time paying their bills, maybe if they spent more time taking care of State Finances, instead of trying to make a guy doing his best for the Country look bad, the state would be doing better!?!

Trump does not need California nor would he win anything. California is so far left no republican would ever win here.

I would be more interested in seeing their tax returns when they leave office. Hitlery’s, Barry Hussein’s, Wet Willy’s, Bush all multi millionaires on a gov’t salary – how’s that work?

Well, that violates the supremacy clause of the Constitution and Federal LAW!
BUt, OK–then California WILL NOT COUNT IN THE ELECTION!! ITS 52 ELECTORAL VOTES WILL BE IGNORED!!
Since Democrats cannot be elected WITHOUT California–they just guaranteed Republican Presidents until they wise up!

Sorry for the GOOD people of Calif. and there are a few, but where will this end?
Should we require school records be disclosed (Obama) or maybe birth records (Obama) Where is this going?

I just don’t understand why it is allowed for Trump not to make
His tax filings public. It seems the correct and appropriate thing to do no matter what political party you belong to.
