Chelsea Clinton Says It Would Be ‘Unchristian’ for America to Ban Abortion

During a SiriusXM Town Hall, Chelsea Clinton said it would be “unchristian” the United States to return to the days before the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.

Co-host Jess McIntosh asked Clinton how she keeps from experiencing “generational exhaustion” on the fight to keep Roe v. Wade from being overturned.

“I look at my children and I, to quote Jim Yong Kim, ‘optimism is a moral choice.’ Everyday I make the moral choice to be optimistic,” Clinton replied. “That my efforts and energies, particularly when I am fortunate enough to be in partnership with fellow travelers, hopefully we will make a difference.”

Clinton said because of the number of woman who died from poorly performed abortions before Roe v. Wade was handed down, “We just can’t go back to that.”

Saying it is “unconscionable” to her, and admitting she would probably get another “wave of hate” in her direction, Clinton further said because she is a “deeply religious person, it’s also unchristian” to ban abortion.

“Well you handle the hate pretty well,” co-host Zerlina Maxwell replied. She went on to say the “anti-choice” people and “gun lovers” are the worst people when it comes to expressing hate around their issues.

The discussion surrounding Roe v. Wade has intensified since the Senate confirmation hearings for Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Clinton’s mother, Hillary, had spread the debunked talking point that Kavanaugh had said birth control causes abortions, calling it “abortion-inducing drugs.”

The talking point emerged after Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) posted heavily edited video of Kavanaugh, which in full context revealed he was referring to other people’s view on birth control, not his own.

Chelsea Clinton You are a disgrace. Abortions are not for a Christian to do. It is against Gods plan. One of these days you are all going to knell before God and confess he his the maker of this world and you will have to answer to him. If you dont want a baby use birth control and stop worrying about an abortion. IT IS MURDER!!!!!!
