It doesn’t get much better than Chick-fil-A. They found something they were good at and the rest was history. Now, a great chicken sandwich has transformed into a fast food empire. You’d think that every American would be proud of a company that embodies the American dream the way that Chick-fil-A does. But, there’s one tiny problem. The founder of Chick-fil-A was a Christian and the chain is closed on Sundays so employees can spend time with family and go to church.
The liberal left can’t stand that.
In fact, liberals have been trying to boycott Chick-fil-A for a long time now.
From BizPac Review:
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A back in 2016 because of the company’s Christian values, but that didn’t stop the restaurant chain from building a Taj Mahal of an eatery in the Big Apple.
“I’m certainly not going to patronize them and I wouldn’t urge any other New Yorkers to patronize them,” be Blazio said at the time, after begrudgingly acknowledging that the company does “have a legal right” to exist.
That sums it up pretty well. Liberals are reluctant to even acknowledge that a company with a Christian owner has the right to exist. Scary stuff.
Fortunately for Chick-fil-A, the intolerant left has failed miserably to slow down the popular chain despite their best efforts.
In fact, things are going extremely well for the restaurant.
From The Daily Wire:
In the next few years, the fried chicken sandwich chain Chick-fil-A will likely leapfrog over Taco Bell, Burger King, and Wendy’s to become America’s third-largest fast food restaurant, only trailing McDonald’s and Starbucks.
That prediction comes courtesy of the restaurant consultancy Technomic. Technomic senior principal David Henkes stated, “The pathway is in Chick-fil-A’s favor in terms of continuing to leapfrog iconic chains that are still doing fine,” adding that other older fast food companies have recovered from losing customers to higher-end chains like Chipotle, “but Chick-fil-A is doing phenomenally.”
The Atlanta-based restaurant, whose owners publicly espouse strong Christian values to the point where the chain is closed on Sundays, reached roughly $9 billion in sales in 2017, ranking it seventh nationwide among fast food chains. The average Chick-fil-A restaurant grabs over $4 million in annual sales, according to QSR magazine, sizably more than McDonald’s, Burger King, and Wendy’s.
Looks like Chick-fil-A is on pace to become one of the biggest chains in America. Why? Great food. Great service. It’s a simple formula and yet a lot of companies aren’t able to get it right.
The liberal boycotts against Chick-fil-A have obviously had the opposite effect. People become more emboldened to spend money there simply because so many liberals are telling them not to. It becomes almost like a badge of honor to eat at an establishment that drives the unhinged left crazy.
It would be great if the left could just relax a little bit and let Chick-fil-A do what they do.
That doesn’t seem like it will happen anytime soon.
