There were some common liberal responses that followed President Donald Trump’s decision to shoot dozens of Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airfield as a response to the Syrian chemical gas attack on its own civilians.
Some criticized the actions, saying that we should not be attacking Syria or getting involved in military actions there.
Others had a common theme that if Donald Trump believed the attacks wrong, that he should be accepting refugees into the the United States.
Here’s the DNC Chair’s response:
The events from this week reinforce that we must open our doors to refugees—many of them children—fleeing violence in Syria.

Here’s Hillary Clinton:
“It is essential that the world does more to deter Assad from committing future murderous atrocities,” Clinton said. “But the action taken last night needs to be followed by a broader strategy to end Syria’s civil war.”
Referring to Trump’s administration, she added, “I also hope that they will recognize that we cannot in one breath speak of protecting Syrian babies and in the next close American doors to them.”
Yet, these are the same people who did nothing to solve the situation for 6 years.
Not only didn’t they solve the problem they made it worse by the actions in the area, allowing for the growth of ISIS.
They are part of the reason there are in fact refugees.
But let me not say any more.
Let Kassem Eid, a Syrian refugee who was gassed during a 2013 attack, speak.
I doubt CNN thought he would say the things that he did.
