Colin Kaepernick Gets Bold Ultimatum From Jim Brown, Could Spark Major Backlash

NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown became the second black athlete this week to speak out against Colin Kaepernick’s form of protesting.

On the heels of former boxing champion George Foreman saying that the free agent football player was not patriotic, Brown offered his insight.

“I want to be in his corner, and I do think, ‘God bless him,’” Brown, who has been outspoken in his support of President Donald Trump, told The Post Game.

But Brown was not happy with how the controversial quarterback choose to protest, by kneeling for the National Anthem.

“I’m going to give you the real deal: I’m an American,” he said. “I don’t desecrate my flag and my national anthem. I’m not gonna do anything against the flag and national anthem. I’m going to work within those situations. But this is my country, and I’ll work out the problems, but I’ll do it in an intelligent manner.”

Brown indicated that Kaepernick’s decision to sit out the National Anthem did more to harm his cause than to help it.

“Colin has to make up his mind whether he’s truly an activist or he’s a football player,” Brown told The Post Game. “Football is commercial. You have owners. You have fans. And you want to honor that if you’re making that kind of money. …

“You have to understand there’s intelligence that’s involved, OK? I can’t be two things at once that contradict each other. If I sign for money, then the people I sign with, they have rules and regulations.”

Colin has an issue he wants addressed. This sure isn’t the platform for such nonsense. The NFL needs to stick with the NATION in which they operate or find another country that will welcome you. Oh, wait, there are none! He should join BLM and hit the streets and really try to overthrow the government and see how far that gets him! I have given up watching the NFL, college football is more fun anyway.

Thank you, Jim Brown!!!Colin Kaepernick does have a right to voice his opinion. HOWEVER, when I have to drive 3-4 hours to even attend a LIVE football game, pay for gasoline and meals on my way to the game, pay an exorbitant price for the actual game ticket, pay exorbitant prices for any meals, snacks, memorabilia, mementos of the teams,or mementos from SPONSORS, have to drive ANOTHER 3-4 hours, and pay for gasoline to go home, plus meal stops, etc…I DO NOT GIVE A DAMN about Colin’s (or any football player’s) political or personal beliefs…….I am paying (dearly) to go to a live game and enjoy football. That’s all I want to do…just go and have some fun, and GET AWAY FROM POLITICS for awhile. Your job is to play football. Football games, where my money is paying your salary, is the WRONG FORUM to share your political/social

Normie, I agree with everything that you have said. The only differences is, I quit watching pro football when it became a stop over for players that end up in prison. When the nfl pays players that have killed, raped, beaten women, abused children and used drugs, and now they disrespect our country, I have had enough. Bring on college football. But to tell you the truth, college sports are getting just as bad as the pros. What do we watch now?
