Former NFL Player Herschel Walker Thinks Anthem-Kneelers Went Too Far

Herschel Walker, an NFL legend who formerly played for Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys, believes that the situation with kneeling and disrespect of the national anthem has gone too far.

Walker in a viral video, as TMZ reported, supported President Trump and attacked all the NFL players who disrespect the national anthem and flag, but also Roger Goodell, the NFL Commissioner, who kept quiet about the protests.

“I think it means making a league-wide rule that if you want to protest, protest off the job,” Walker stated. “Where was everyone before the season started? I didn’t see anyone protesting in front of the White House, protesting in front of Congress or protesting in front of police officers. Why did we wait until football season to start this again? If you’re behind it, you have to be behind it all the way.”

“If you want to protest, protest off the job,” he said.

Walker admitted that he believes that America has a problem with racism, but protest the national anthem doesn’t solve that issue. In fact, he thinks that the finger should be pointed at President Trump.

“We can’t just point the finger at one person, and most of all you can’t point it at the president,” Walker advised.

He also advised Roger Goodell, the NFL Commissioner, to do something and put an end to the protests of the national anthem.

“I think everyone needs to stand, everyone, needs to be respectful,” Walker stated. “The commissioner now needs to take control of this.”

It doesn’t matter that President Trump and Walker are friends. Walker played for New Jersey Generals in the USFL, a club that was owned by President back in 1980. This team against NFL in a spring football league.

Anyhow, his comments didn’t go unnoticed. The only thing this protest might change is probably the TV channel, as the audience will turn off the TV if the NFL is on it. NFL has various ways to show their disagreements and protest in a manner that doesn’t involve dishonor of national anthem and flag.

Obviously, a lot of people didn’t learn this lesson.

We need more people like Hershel Walker who is a great American who supports our President to speak out like he has done. Thank you, Herschel Walker and may God bless you and keep you.

These cry baby millionaires need to join the BLM and help burn down communities to show their support instead of disrespecting their team, uniform and the Flag. Then they can join the BLM relief organization and help victims of the hurricanes that White people created to bring down the black man. Finally, they should join the racist blacks who demand reparations for being kept a slave by the Man.

It went too far when Goodell did not fine Kaepernick the first time he took a knee during the National Anthem.

IN MY OPINION: TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE-THE NFL DOES NOT REQUIRE PLAYERS TO STAND DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM. BESIDES IT IS A RIGHT THAT USED TO PROTEST AGAIN THE INCOMPETENT AND TRUMP’S RED FLAGS OF RACISM AND FASCISTS REMARKS. —ONLY DICTATORS CAN FORCE ITS SUBJECTS TO HONOR A FLAG OR ELSE FACE FINES OR JAIL OR GET SHOOT! —SEMPER FI!

Personally, I’m fed up with all this anti-America crap that’s been going on in our country. I’m tired of the racism that WAS ALMOST GONE UNTIL OBAMA GOT INTO OFFICE.

We’ve always lived in a country that has had its problems as ANY country does but we’ve always stood together as Americans when it came to honoring our military, our veterans, our police, and their families.

As far as I’m concerned, the NFL went way over the line. The only GOOD thing about them allowing their players to kneel in disrespect of our National Anthem is that THEY FINALLY SHOWED THEIR TRUE COLORS…which will now save ME money because they’ll NEVER GET ANOTHER PENNY FROM ME AGAIN!

IN MY OPINION: WALKER HAS THE RIGHT TO EXPRESS HIS FREEDOM OF SPEECH. —BUT THAT DOES NOT DELETE THE TRUTH ABOUT SLOPPY TRUMP AND HIS RED FLAGS OF RACISM WHICH HE EXPRESSED AT CHARLLOTTESVILLE.—SEMPER FI! —PS IN MY OPINION-DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING TRUMP SAYS-HE IS A LIAR!

That appears to be a typo, as the next sentence, a direct quote from Herschel, directly contradicts it.

Phyllis, I completely Agree with you.
This was Started on Obama’s watch and he did Nothing to Discourage it, and by not discouraging it, he put his Political Stamp on Roger Goodell, and RG took that as he Must Allow this, because Obama basically said, you guys do what you want and I Dare Anyone to say anything!

I am Glad that Pres. Trump called these Players out on this Crap!
He only said what Many of us Are saying, but we do not have the Platform to do it,,
because even last year, turning off the TV did not seem to bother these Disrespectful players.

You do NOT go to Your Job and Start Protesting and Keep that job.

As H. Walker said, Where were these players during the Off Season!??

They Kneel for 3 minutes a week and you hear Nothing else from them until the Next Sunday, so I say, STFU and Play Ball!!
