Fox News May Soon Regret Firing Bill… Can Someone Say PANIC?

Change is always difficult for any organization, but losing TWO is definitely not good.  Fox News lost their chairman Roger Ailes along with Bill O’Reilly. By losing these two, it is not a good sign for the future of Fox News. Bill O’Reilly was the biggest star on the network. He was fired because of sexual harassment allegations. But his fans do not believe that these allegations are true. However, the TV network’s ratings will probably go down.

Despite Fox News’ tremendous popularity, all of the shake-ups at the network have put it in a place of real vulnerability. The executives at Fox News took a big gamble by removing former chairman Roger Ailes, the man whose vision for the network made it the success story that it is.

These executives just took what is arguably an even bigger risk by firing the network’s biggest star Bill O’Reilly. With the wildly popular O’Reilly gone, the business decision-makers at Fox News just got hit with some very harsh news.

Without O’Reilly, these executives are now looking at a ratings freefall and the potential that conservative viewers will abandon Fox News in favor of more up-to-date conservative news outlets, particularly those on the web.

Wrote New York Times writer Jim Rutenberg about O’Reilly’s viewers, “First there is Mr. O’Reilly’s own audience, which steadfastly stuck with him — and then some — as the revelations about sexual harassment first emerged in The New York Times. For as long as he has been ‘looking out for’ them — as he puts it — he has sworn to beat back the ‘secular progressive’ forces of political correctness.

He added, “His fans told interviewers they doubted the allegations against him, describing him as an ‘easy target’ for liberal groups and the same mainstream media he has made a career of lambasting.” Chris Ruddy, CEO of Fox News’ conservative rival Newsmax Media, agreed that Fox News is now in trouble. He said, “Generally, the Fox audience is not going to be happy the network fired him. They’re going to think it was unfair.”

The New York Times first wrote about the sexual harassment allegations. Maybe Bill O’Reilly was an easy target and the mainstream media wanted him out of the picture. Some of his fans don’t believe in the allegations. Do you agree with them? Do you think Fox News made a mistake by firing O’Reilly?

It certainly won’t make any difference to me as I was not a fan. He came across as very arrogant and was rude never letting his guest finish a sentence. I much prefer Tucker Carlson. So glad it is Tucker and NOT Eric Bolling!

DEFINITELY……a mistake……!!……the sexual harassment allegations nowadays……are ONLY…..1….to give the media something to keep their network exciting……..2….. accusations brought to attention when politics are losing out….and have no other way to get ahead of the game….3…..and seems the victims take forever before they make a claim….if it’s really SO bad ….why wait for like forever…to report it……?….is it when the victim or victims are in dire need for money……and then try to figure out how they can take someone over the barrel…and get the best of others for some little spat that they would be quilty of instigating who know how long ago?
Seems it is just plain ignorance….,!!!!!
