North Korean media implied that Hawaii and Alaska may become possible targets for a missile attack towards America.
American missile shield is stationed in parts of “Hawaii, where the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) is stationed, and Alaska,” therefore they might be a North Korean target of missile attacks, Rodong Sinmun stated.
North Korea tested the Hwasong-14 intercontinental ballistic missile this month, and it seems that the weapon has a range of 4,500 and 6,000 miles, which will allow Pyongyang to attack parts of Hawaii, Alaska, and maybe parts of the West Coast.
North Korea probably won’t attack America because that would be deadly for them. According to experts, North Korea will most likely use its ICBM if there is a conflict or collapse of the regime. However, they are getting ready for such scenario.
Officials in Hawaii are introducing a campaign to educate the citizens for a possible nuclear missile strike from North Korea.
The State’s Emergency Management Agency started this campaign to help people understand how to react if the North Korean dictator chooses to attack.
“We need to tell the public what the state is doing,” agency chief Vern Miyagi state. “We do not want to cause any undue stress for the public; however, we have a responsibility to plan for all hazards.”
