Highly Controversial Meme Will Infuriate Democrats, But History Proves It’s Dead Right

The American left goes through rage cycles. This cycle, the rage is the enforcement of immigration law — which of course leads back to identity politics.

The new champion of both of these things is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the card-carrying socialist who unseated veteran party hack Joseph Crowley in a New York House primary last week. Since then, Ocasio-Cortez Thought has quickly become as readily absorbed as Mao Zedong Thought in 1960s China.

Take, for instance, this nugget of joy from Bernardine Sanders:

The remark was in response to the fact that some people had begun to check Ocasio-Cortez’s “girl from the Bronx” story and found out that it was lacking in what we like to call “fact” (an unpopular, problematic concept in the Democrat firmament), but it seems to illustrate a larger truth — that any attempt to question Ocasio-Cortez or her calls to end enforcement of most immigration laws and to abolish ICE is rooted in racism.

Yet, lurking behind all of this “tolerance” is a history that the Democrats don’t want to discuss, which may reveal their real reasons behind their enthusiastic embrace of destroying ICE and immigration enforcement.

Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet is big on “identity,” and it’s just the latest manifestation of the kind of identity politics Democrats have been using to feed their power going back to the Civil War and before:

Yes, behind all of that peace, love and toleration is the fact that the Democrats are mostly interested in numbers and getting the votes, but beyond all keeping control of their fiefdoms. A hundred and sixty years ago, those were the plantations of the South. Democrats were the ones who controlled the South, and they did their damnedest to make sure slavery stayed at all costs — including starting a war that took more than half a million American lives

A century ago, it was Jim Crow Dixie, still a Democrat fiefdom. African-Americans were second-class citizens, kept in place by segregation. They couldn’t vote, they couldn’t go to the same schools as whites and they had no civil control over their own destiny.

Once segregation began to melt thanks to the judiciary, things began to change — although the racist attitude sure didn’t. When Lyndon Baines Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act, he’s alleged to have said: “I’ll Have Those n*****s Voting Democratic for 200 Years.” That’s never been proven.

What we can document is his explanation for why he appointed Thurgood Marshall as the first black Supreme Court justice instead of a lesser-known jurist: “When I appoint a n***** to the bench, I want everybody to know he’s a n*****,” the president said, according to biographer Robert Dallek.

The Democrats’ fiefdom quickly moved from the “Solid South” to urban areas. There, segregation still existed, it was just by neighborhood. The trick this time is that both young white millennials drawn by the liberal, cosmopolitan atmosphere and minorities kept shackled to “entitlements” with little opportunity to escape both gave their votes to the Democrats.

And, among the latter, you can count illegal immigrants. They’re promised protection by the Democrats, all for low wages and a depressed labor market. In return for entitlement outlays and reduced job opportunities, they skew the numbers in Congress and the Electoral College as well as provide the demographic shift liberals want.

That’s why Democrats are so angry about the idea of enforcing immigration law. It’s not something that dates back a few years or even a few decades. It dates back to the antebellum period.

You might say it’s their real identity.

I know your publication does not do fact-checking or research, but an hour or two would disclose that between 1890 and the early 1900’s, Dems and Repubs ‘switched’ goals, priorities and names, thus today’s GOP are yesterday’s Democratic Party members. ‘You’ didn’t ‘free our slaves’: Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation that freed slaves from working on plantations, although many cities and towns in the South refused to honor this, and forced the slaves to stay. Others stayed because they had no place to go. If you want to pretend that these were ‘our’ slaves, then why are so many on your side insistent on the Confederate Flag, the memberships in the KKK, the support of neo-Nazi groups, and continued discrimination against Black people? Smart Democrats won’t be infuriated, because they/we know the history and we know you guys are just a pulp rag. Please! Have just a bit of ethics and professionalism to check your information before putting it out?

You are a joke Mary…and typically, a hypocritical one at that! Since you say “we”, I take it you are a democrat, in which case you are certainly standing in your own glass house while throwing rocks. You slam the author of this article as being part of a “pulp rag”, and urge him to “have just a bit of ethics (interesting English!) and professionalism”. For two years the democrat puppets at CNN, MSNBC, ABC, the LA Times, and New York Times, have been lying, telling half truths, and ignoring inconvenient truths, ie those that don’t make democrats look good, and I’m willing to bet you have never complained about their lack of “professionalism” or “ethics”! Just look at the Russian lie, CNN particularly milked that cow for the ratings, even when they and every thinking person knew it was no more than a democrat sponsored lie.

Good reply Will. I remember in school(middle and high) in the ’60s, being taught exactly what Mary stated. It wasn’t until later in life that I learned how very untrue that line of reinvented history really was. You’d think that as we age, our previous minds of mush would mature into thinking minds. But some folks never mature and remain oblivious to facts.

Only idiots believe the fabrication of the parties “switching”! Lincoln was the 1st Republican president, and he was conservative. The Republican party is still the party of the Constitution and conservatism. 30 yrs before your imaginary switch took place. Democrats have remained the same oppressors of POC throughout the 19th, 20th, & 21st centuries. Example: Lyndon B Johnson who fought against signing the Civil Rights Act. He was forced to do so. He was openly racist. Here’s another fact negating your false claim. The NRA was established to help blacks in the south gain their freedom to bear arms in order to protect themselves, their families, and their property. And it was conservative Republicans like MLK Jr., who led the fight for civil rights in the 50’s & 60’s. It was only for political expedience that some Democrats crossed the line for civil rights. You should take your own advise on research. Or just research true facts instead of listening to your party leaders.

Democrats love to use the excuse of “switching parties” to try to deflect the blame from their side. It is the party of deflection, & name calling, after all.

Democrats are selling our (yours and mine) children’s future for votes so they can remain in power. Think about that for a moment. If you are one of many people (at the bottom, so to speak) what do you gain for yourselves and for your children by keeping these aristocrats in power? They throw a few biscuits your way while they live the “lifestyle of the rich and famous”. People that support the Democrats expect that “one little thing” that they hope to receive but it comes with a price that is too high and we all have to pay in the end. Many just want the end of America and freedom. Socialism will destroy everything dear to America’s children!

Short and sweet, and very much the truth. Democrats would love it if American history was phased out completely, particularly in schools and the education system. Why? Figure it out.
