‘I’ll Say I Don’t Want to Build the Wall and They’ll Insist On Building It’: Trump Roasts Obstructionist Dems

During President Donald Trump’s rally, he joked that he figured out a way to build the U.S.-Mexico border wall.

“Anything I want, they want to oppose. I just figured out how to do the wall: I’ll say I don’t want to build the wall and they’ll insist on building it. I just figured that out right now,” Trump said.

His joke to the crowd follows his threat to shutdown the government if Democrats refuse to give the votes for border security, including the border wall, so he brought the new idea to the table.

Democrats have shown disapproval of several of President Trump’s policies.

As reported by IJR, for example, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) bashed Republican-led Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, calling bonuses and tax cuts “crumbs” and claiming they are “so pathetic.”

Trump has previously responded to pushback from his political opponents, calling Democrats “OBSTRUCTIONISTS.”

“Build that wall,” Trump said. “Now, the obstructionist Democrats would like us not to do it, but believe me, we have to close down our government, we are building that wall.”
