LAS VEGAS – There’s been a shooting by the Mandalay Bay casino on Las Vegas Boulevard. At least one officer has reportedly been shot while other officers are pinned down by the shooter.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has a unit clearing the casino floor.

Triage has been set up at another casino.
Police believe there may be more than one shooter. Over police radios, officers have spoken of multiple fatalities. One officer said he was bringing five patients in critical condition to Sunrise Hospital.
University Medical Center’s Trauma Center is at capacity and emergency units are being urged to take patients to other hospitals.
A lot of other people are taking themselves to hospitals.
The shots are believed to be coming from a high floor at the Mandalay Bay and are trying to determine if there had been a second shooting at Hakkasan Nightclub at the MGM Grand. Police are also investigating the report of a shooting at the front desk of the New York, New York hotel and casino.
Meanwhile, officers are being urged or avoid the valet area of the Luxor where there’s a car with wires coming out.
People are hiding behind cars and anything else they can.
The police have been moving teams of multiple officers working together to clear floors and make sure that people are safe.
Officers reported that civilians are trying to take patrol cars in an effort to flee the area.
Las Vegas Boulevard is shut down at the Tropicana Hotel. People are being urged to avoid the area.
