LOOK CLOSELY: Photos From ‘March for Our Lives’ Reveal Incredible Hypocrisy

The “March for Our Lives” protests have dominated the news and social media over the weekend… but while liberals spread an anti-gun narrative, sharp viewers noticed something shocking and hypocritical about the demonstrations.

Since the tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida, the left has singled out guns as the cause of deadly crime. While declaring that the National Rifle Association — a group comprised of law-abiding gun owners — was somehow to blame for the actions of a mentally deranged murderer, activists have made their message clear: Guns are evil and need to be banned.

Those same activists sure don’t seem to understand irony. While protesters waved signs and shouted for guns to be banned, they didn’t notice one glaring detail: They were surrounded by guns and kept protected by heavily-armed men. So much for that narrative!

TheBlaze was one of several outlets that noticed the serious disconnect between the narrative and reality. On Saturday, they shared a photo of anti-gun protesters being protected by — gasp! — a large man carrying an “evil” AR-15.

The irony didn’t stop there. Countless photos of the supposedly “anti-gun” rallies showed security personnel and officers with all types of firearms, from AR rifles to handguns… and even actual military equipment showed up to keep the marchers safe.

Think about that: They literally brought out the big guns to protect people… protesting guns.

Some commentators, including Jack Posobiec, went out of their way to thank armed law enforcement officers for providing security, subtly pointing out the incongruity.

It would be one thing of these protests were intended to call for all possible solutions to stop school violence, including using armed and trained citizens or properly-equipped security to make classrooms less soft targets for criminals.

But make no mistake: Blaming guns and trying desperately to ban them is definitely the agenda that was on display.

Here’s what David Hogg, one of the Parkland students who has become famous for his media rants and psychopath-like stare, recently said about law-abiding gun owners who are members of the NRA. “They’re pathetic f***rs that want to keep killing our children.”

“They could have blood from children splattered all over their faces and they wouldn’t take action, because they all still see those dollar signs.” This is the left’s voice of common sense and reason?

Or how about Emma Gonzalez, another young person who has become a media favorite for spewing anti-gun hype? “I don’t really care what people who defend the Second Amendment have to say,” she recently declared.

They “don’t care” about the Second Amendment — part of the U.S. Constitution and the highest law in America — and smear lawful gun owners as having “blood splattered” on their faces. Meanwhile, they’re protected by good men with guns, and are either too dense or too deceptive to notice.

A false narrative is being spread, with the agenda of painting American gun owners as evil. It’s time to call out what is happening, because freedoms that are lost are not easily recovered.

Isn’t that hypocritical to have armed guards at a gun protest?

Not with the possibility of armed self-styled alt-right madmen believing they’d be protecting the 2nd.

Except alt right extremists as you put are not the mass shooters. Those happen to be alt left extremists. Why would anyone give any credence to the son of an ex FBI agent, when the FBI dropped the ball so outrageously in this school shooting? Why isn’t Hogg out there demanding the FBI do their jobs? Is he trying to divert attention from that?

No they do it at every protest. It is not against the law for police not to carry fire arms.

It’s not against the law for registered gun owners with CCW permits to carry firearms either.

These same students had a no gun on campus rule but that former student got a gun on campus. The hired gun the police resource officer was supposed to be their protection.

Rather than focusing on their own Schools shortcomings which are a national embarrassment, then they blame guns and not the people.

These are supposed to be kids with 4.0 grade point averages???? I don’t think so. I think they are without brain power. How are they affording the travel costs. I think someone hired them to broadcast this.

They have no brain cells to think with and I’m being serious!

Problem is people are allowing the government 2 train your children.
most of the time parents are too busy having to work and make a living. that doesn’t leave much time to be around your child now does it
and then you have children who were bullied, come from broken homes poverty-stricken have had some traumatic experience in their life. They all go to school to be trained Not educated. but it is the people who are at fault because the teachers can’t be mother and father. Children fighting in the hallways. They’re underpaid and understaffed.
you need to get the government out of your education.

for these people that are listening to the hogwash coming from these troubled children. Their mentality needs to be questioned as well. The root of all evil today is money. Trust me they’re getting paid David Hogg and his temporary rise to fame. SMH

The liberals have brain washed them and now the Demos are behind the children doing their fight for them. They couldn’t get the guns taken away, so now they use the children to do it for them. They are insane. Don’t vote for Demos, they want to destroy our country..

the Liberals don’t have to destroy the Country, Trump is doing a pretty good job of that Himself, as for taking the guns away, that will never happen, as a so-called liberal, and a veteran of the Korean conflict and a sworn protector of the Constitution of the United States, I will defend my right to own guns(plural)and yours if you can’t. the one thing I think we don’t need is 30 round magazines for semi-auto rifles, most guns bought from a gun shop for hunting come with a 3,4,0r seven round magazine which when emptied must be reloaded, which is time-consuming, versus a 30 round with extra magazines can be a deadly weapon, a bolt action is even slower to fire and reload, the second admendment doesn’t say how many rounds a gun can fire in a certain time frame, I believe the musket was the gun of choice when the CONSTITUTION was adopted, it is not the gun but the rapid fire that does so much damage, Auto weapons is absolutly against the law to own without a firearms license. the semi-auto fires one round per trigger pull which is very fast for even a novice shooter, to avoid the mass killing limit the magazines to a few rounds this would give people some time to hide or get out of the line of fire.

Trump is in no way destroying this country. Liberals want NWO – globalization. Trump is squelching that dream every day.
a pellet gun can be just as deadly as rifle. and there were repeat shooter weapons before the 2a was written. Duckfoot 4 barreled pistol 1780 – Nock volley gun 1799 – Stopler revolver – puckle gun 1718

when the 2a was written the government had flintlocks and The People had them as well, It is nothing to do with hunting but a check and balance. We the people are given the right to use the same weapons if not better than their oppressors. If you want to say the 2a is out dated then pick up a quill, bottle of ink and parchment paper and write about it. The 1st was written with these items not a computer.

Well cleraly this article has a ‘narrative’ as opposed to a purpose which the protesters have. They also have understanding and integrity which this website does not. Since apparently the writer wants to put forth a factless story then we have no choice but to point out it’s hypocrisy and failings. The protesters have no problem what so ever with law enforcement or the military wielding such firepower. They have a problem with deranged members of the public having access to that type of firepower. You know this, we know this, the writer knows this but chooses non the less to waste our time with this erroneous and made up story to incite not inform. Good job continuing to put self before country. Keep up the shoddy work, it makes the liberals job of getting more votes easier.

A gun has never killed anyone. A crazy person with a gun can kill many. Liberals with the help of the ACLU made sure that the rights of crazy people trump the rights of everyone else including school children. People who should be medicated in a locked facility are free to roam the streets acquiring guns by any means and shooting whomever they please. So,the blood of school children is splattered on the faces of liberals and ACLU members.

    • Duane Pettengill

      March 26, 2018 at 3:16 am

I couldn’t agree with you more but when you said deranged members of the public you hit the problem on the head. Yes, we need to make sure that these type of people can’t buy any kind of weapons but they still have access to them if their parents have one and have access to them. We have a cultural issue and a society issue but nobody seems to want to tackle this problem and parents take no responsibility either and they are at the coal face and you can’t tell me that they can’t see the problem that is living under their own roof. Take Chicago for example as they have the most stringent gun control in America but they also have the highest murder rate in America and yet the NRA gets the blame. Is stopping the law abiding citizen from buying a gun going to solve the problem? I doubt it but when we start tackling the problem of mental heath we might start getting somewhere because these kids today really don’t seem to have much guidance and a lot of them are confused and bullied and don’t know how to handle it so what happens is they end up committing suicide or getting a gun and going to the safest place to cause carnage is a school because they know they will get no resistance. That is where they take out their vengeance against the people he or she hates the most. Probably not many females fit into this category but they do when it comes to suicides. Do I have the answer? No, but getting rid of the guns is not going to stop the problem. We need to really have some real conversation and debate about solving the problem with coming up with some solutions rather than going out and have rallies that take up huge amount of resources and cost a fortune but doesn’t solve a damn thing and actually causes more problems because it angers people. I am retired now but when I was working I never went to my boss with a problem but I would go to him with a solution to the problem and we would talk about it to see if it would work and sometimes we would even take it to the people it had the most effect on to see what they thought. If I ever went to my boss with a problem he would tell me to come back when I had a solution because that is what I am paying you good money for.

Well way back in the 1700’s when the Colonists declared independence, became political states and created the original US citizens; they were able to fight off the British with equal weaponry. Back then We the People were the Whole of the Militia and we still are today. To lull yourself into a comfort zone and think only police and sheriffs should have AR-15s (military uses M-16s), but law abiding US citizens like you should not, well this puts We the People at a tactical disadvantage to win another revolution. In fact reading the Declaration of Independence, which by the way, is one of the first laws you can find in the United States Codes (Font Matter Section); provides We the People authority to have a revolution, providing of course that we keep the firepower of the AR-15 in our homes. The US Constitution forms a Republic, providing we can keep it. The Bill of Rights is not a list of our rights, it is a set of restrictions placed on government to preserve our rights. The purpose of the Second Amendment is not to provide a state with an organized militia, it is to provide the unorganized militia (the people) to be equipped and proficient in armaments (guns, knives, etc.) used by the organized militia the keep the state and nation in perpetual readiness to come to the common defense. FYI — You may know that Congress can call up a draft of all able bodied men ages 18-26, but did you know state governors can likewise draft all able bodied men ages 18-45? Now how do you teach so many to function in combat? Do you just ship them to the battle field and put a bloody gun in there hands, give them bullets and march them forward?

Way back in the 18th century Delaware allowed the marriage of seven year old girls. To men old enough to be their fathers – or grandfathers, even. Do you long for those days?
Way back in the 18th century men were entitled to own as many slaves as they could buy. Would you like to reintroduce your right to own others?
Way back in the 18th century you could be accused of – and executed for – witchcraft. I dare say you’d approve – unless, of course, it was YOU who were being accused, with no way of proving your innocence.
Return to the 18th century by all means. The rest of the world already thinks you’re there.

Tigger you really to resemble my chocolate starfish with that comment. Halictron tells it the way it is. If US Citizens didn’t have guns I am convinced the Obama Administration would have sent on the Military to prevent the Trump Presidency.

Take your socialist agenda and stick it up your naught! Arm eachschool with four armed guards. Train the teachers to pin down an attacker with return fire, and, have a helicopter gunship within five minutes of all schools armed with four 0.50 Brownings and a security system control room with smart equipment to give them the terrorist’s locstat.

My friend, a one second burst of two 0.50 Brownings having a cyclic rate of fire of 800 rounds per minute, will put 26 rounds into he sucker. He’ll be pushing up daisies before he knows if he’s Arthur or Marthur.

Ed Llorca: Please provide me with a list of names of NRA members who have committed ANY mass murders. I’ll wait. Oh, by the way, did you know that the people who HAVE committed mass murders here in the U.S., school shootings, etc., have one thing in common?? Yup, they’re all DEMONRATS (although I’m not sure about Cruz, the FL kid). So, there goes YOUR slanted narrative against the NRA. The NRA was not involved in the Florida school shooting, nor any other mass shooting in the US. YOU NEED TO CHECK THE FACTS BEFORE YOU BLATHER ON.

I wonder why when President Kennedy was shot, no one said we had to ban guns. A gun lying on a table can’t hurt anyone until some deranged individual picks it up and kills. After seeing all the things on the news, which is on everyday and it is teaching our young people that killing is the answer. There has to be restrictions to buy guns and a several day wait while checks are being done.
When hundreds of people have been killed in cars and trucks, no one is asking them to be banned. It is the person driving the vehicle that is responsible for the killings, not the car. All of this is teaching our young people to get out and riot. I would never be out there and how do they get to park their vehicles. But the expect the law to protect them while they are ranting and raving.

More people are killed by drugs and abortions. Seems they need to protest them not guns. Oh wait a minute, drugs are against the law. Killing babies are not. Take our guns then the criminals run over all of us.

I believe liberals just want to control people. The gun did not kill in Fl or anywhere else, people do. They are doing a good job controlling the children in this protest. Demos are behind this!!!

Don’t vote for Demos all they do is whine about everything and do nothing.

These children are mislead and misguided. The guns are not the problem. Schools, where anybody can enter carrying a weapon of any kind, intent on doing evil, where no one there is armed to protect the students and staff, are the problem. Why haven’t communities and school officials fixed this problem long ago? It isn’t the NRA or lawful gun owners who are at fault. Why should law-abiding citizens be punished?

You say, ” The protesters have no problem what so ever with law enforcement or the military wielding such firepower. They have a problem with deranged members of the public having access to that type of firepower.” What makes you believe that the “deranged” or evil person will not carry out their mission with or without being able to purchase guns? An evil person will use other weapons–knives, bombs, poison…

Also, do you realize that the Founding Fathers did not write the second amendment so that only military and law enforcement have weapons. They knew from experience that if citizens are not armed, they are at the mercy of tyrannical governments and other citizens who would do them harm.

Guns and our Second Amendment rights are being attacked because that is the goal of the progressives to disarm us, and they use the horrible killings and impressionable kids to further their agenda.

This website is pure crap. Of course there should be armed guards at a march where so many people are assembled. Trained military – especially after the NRA called these students rioters And troublemakers, and worse. Is the gun lobby afraid of children? I think so. Nothing like a good dose of fear to scare the socks off them. Millions of students calling them out Is terrific- about time to trim their profits and shut them up. Never heard a word about the 17 dead kids – just threats and more propaganda especially from the uneducated low class trump cult.

As to “propaganda,” it seems to me that that is exactly what you are spreading around, like the bull manure it is.

YOU talk about “class,” but you yourself have none. It shows your lack thereof when YOU insult an entire group of individuals you’ve never met and know NOTHING about. I do believe THAT is bigotry. If YOU had any class whatsoever, you would be ashamed of yourself. If NOT, you SHOULD be.

The “shocking hypocrisy” mentioned here is based on a faulty premise. The liberal position isn’t about “banning” guns—it’s about fixing the lax gun laws that would enable a social misfit to get a hold of a deadly weapon that’s designed strictly to kill efficiently.

NO ONE is saying that guns don’t belong in the hands of trained and responsible professional law enforcement or soldiers.

If that’s the best the right can do to discredit the left, they need to try a little harder.

Reading all these comments is very frustrating and depressing. I am certainly a fan of the 2nd amendment. I will not give up my guns. Once we start giving up our rights, we will never get them back. If the law abiding citizens give up their guns, the only ones that will have them are the police and the criminals. Unfortunately, police officers cannot be everywhere at all times. At that point not only will we worry about our children, we will all be living in fear. We all need to work together to find a solution. We need to listen to each other and try to understand each perspective. Everyone needs to stop acting like a 2-year-old who isn’t getting their way. All of the hate and name calling between liberals and conservatives will never solve the real problem.

People act as though any 12 year old can go into a store and buy a gun. There are laws and restrictions for keeping guns out of childrens hands. So because the police had guns, that then means the marchers were hypocritical?

The police guards did not shoot students to death in a high school.

One group, with more adults than children, is bashing the police, government officials, and gun owners while people with guns stand ready to die to protect that one group. Were officials warned of the school shooting? Why was David not at school when it happened? How were protests and marches organized so quickly? Why is David not willing to debate? Why were other students not allowed to speak at the marches? Why will David not agree to use clear bookbags? What do we know of David’s past? Why does he want to ruin those who speak against him? Where are his parents? There are more questions than answers about this “Boy who wants to change the world”.
