Mall Cop Tries To Kick Navy SEAL Out Of Store For Talking About God – Watch What Happens Next

A video from a mall in Dallas Fort Worth is going viral this week, and the footage is extremely disturbing.

According to American Military News, the footage shows a mall cop try to kick a Navy SEAL out of a Texas mall because he was talking about religion in a private conversation.

After hearing the combat veteran talking privately about the Gospel to his friends, the mall cop interrupts them and says that they aren’t allowed to discuss religion on private property.

He then threatens to charge them with criminal trespassing if they don’t leave.

That’s when things get messy.

The Navy Seal, God bless him, is correct. The mall cop interfered in a private conversation about Jesus Christ, the Saviour. The Seal passed nothing out; the mall cop did. The 1st Amendment right to free speech was violated by that mall cop. The recording will be great evidence in Court. Mall cop. I hope that you like your next job; where ever. Does somebody know what the name of that mall is? Send an answer in reply. Navy Seal. Thank you for serving in the USA military and in the Lord’s Army of Christian believers. John 3:16 comes to mind.

I can see why the Mall wouldn’t want folks interfering with their customers, for any reason. A lot of people would not be happy being approached by any form of religious beliefs. The Mall owners want to keep their customers happy.

    • rick rice

no one was forcing anything. The people were engaged in a private conversation. No one complained. If he was gathering signatures for a petition to save the whales or some other PC cause, there would not have been any problem.

Go to the Mall office to get permission. And you great Christian for attacking the guard for his size Jesus love it when you do that RIGHT?

I bet if a Muslim were talking about his faith to shoppers walking by in the Mall and the cop was asking him to stop doing it or leave you would be praising him for it. People go to a Mall to go shopping. People who want to hear about Jesus go to church. People have a right to say what they want. People also have a right to not have to be harassed by people who are saying what they want.

Legalshield takes 1 rd of the membership fee from every single member and pays it to an AV rated law firm in your state. because of the combined fees legalshield pays our law firm in Dallas Fort Worth 1.4 million a month to take care of their members. if this happened to me I would haved called my lawyer right there on the spot. youtube legalshield provider law firms / youtube pre paid legal Mike Moore Attorney General of mississippi. • Yvonne Massey

        April 23, 2017 at 5:29 pm

Although the mall had every legal right to ask the man to leave what he was doing was not criminal. I personally try to avoid religious conversation because I get so disagreeable. I love God and Jesus but I will not ever support the church. I will tell people as much and they thank me and walk away but the idea was planted and I spend time thinking about my own walk with God. The mall has rules like this because of people like myself not wanting to be approached by the conversation. But the man was right as well. God tell us to spread his word many times throughout the bible. I’m curious to think how this situation would have played out had it been Muslims doing the same thing. This country takes some serious steps to protect the Muslims faith and freedom of speech including denying others ( like Christians or Jews ) of their freedom of speech. My heart goes out to this man who fought for my freedoms, saw hate and violence first hand and still believes in his God.

        • Jeff Hebb

          April 23, 2017 at 7:20 pm

Yvonne; there’s a difference between private conversations and someone approaching a stranger in the mall. To begin with, a mall is not a private property, When they operate as a public place. And someone having a private conversation with friends, one could make an argument that the mall security guard was infringing on that private conversation.

        • Maritza Reneau

          April 23, 2017 at 10:42 pm

You are right in everything you said.
Had this fat idiot seen Muslims proselytizing he would have closed his eyes very tight and run the other way. And rhe little idiot woman, what the heck?

        • Gary Austin

          May 1, 2017 at 3:07 pm

Here is my problems: Would they ask a Muslim to leave? No! Of course not… Do most Christians want to be preached to in the mall? No! Of course not… Don’t believe me watch what happens when a Jehovah’s Witness knocks on their door… The First Amendment does not allow us to speak on private property, or to speak, however, we want to others. Such as with fighting words. The mall security had to do his his job, period. Business owners can ask anyone to leave, it just cant be based on race, sexual orientation, etc. I’m a devout Christian…

      • Michael Graham

        April 23, 2017 at 7:06 pm

Roberta Tate the war has already started and this is just one example of it. God’s wrath is coming upon this Nation and will bring America to its knees. I do not understand why people take for granted that today’s Christian’s will just lay down and be victimized. When the war does begin it will be American Christian’s fighting and killing these idiots and letting God sort them out. We are living in the age of grace, but no where does it say in the Bible that christians are not allowed to fight and kill their enemies or the enemies of God. In fact it is just the opposite and any Bible scholar can reference God’s word especially in the Old testament and how he meets out judgement. I served my country and stand not only for the constitution but more so for God’s Holy Word. Anyone whom would deprive me or my family of either is an enemy of this country and our God. Let the War begin.

    • Lori Sharpe

      April 23, 2017 at 4:48 pm

The Navy Seal should have left the the store and told this man that Jesus loves him, then asked the store owner later if this was policy. This may have been the policy that he is paid to follow. Just because the man is overweight I believe God loves him and should not be condemned for his actions. He was polite. It seems his size was the biggest issue and the others who say they are Christians but put the Mall Cop down (which I believe is a harder job than you think) are just wrong. Yes I talk about Jesus in Walmart but if I was told to stop by an employee I would not put them down for doing their job. Jesus would not be so rude and cause that young man to call the cops Read Your Bible!! GOD BLESS The Navy Seal Thank you for your service and spreading the gospel!!

I would love to know what mall that was in. Now, I am a very religious person. I go to church every Sunday and I have been in leadership positions in my own church. When some one approaches me, I just tell them, “Thank you for caring about me, but I have a faith I am very happy with and would not change. But thank you again, and I just walk away If they try to push me, I am nice once more and if it is a third time, then I get blunt and tell them to leave me alone. You can never argue with someone and win, It doesn’t work to yell, argue or be pushy rude. If this man just offered but was nice I see no damage done. The over weight pseudo Cop ws so full of himself and his uniform he was terrible about anything. I would have reported him to his mall office, and some of the stores he was trying to protect. Ha ha. You are never protected against everything, so just be nice and firm when you disagree, don’t be an ass about it.

In Germany everbody is silent about Christian religion telling you that religion is a private matter according to the constitution. But all time we are speaking about Islam…and the islamic terrorists called Salafists who spread their Satanic verses called the Quran in the streets and on every street corner…because religion is a “private matter” in Germany. Have you ever heard about this Satanic perversion? Germans are very sick people and so is this “Cop”, totally insane!

There’s a lot of people in the world that only allows their God into their lives once a week. I have news for them, my God is with me all the time. If this is the mall’s rules, then I wouldn’t do any business with them and would go where I am able to have conversations with others. I guess if he had been talking to them about some type of negativity then it would have been ok. As a side note: I worked security for many years and, if I was as grossly fat as this so-called “mall cop” I would not have gotten the job.

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Please name the Mall… we’d like to let them know what we think of a policy that allows security to abuse citizens and especially veterans. As long as you’re not preaching and just sharing your thoughts, not forcing people to listen, you haven’t violated even the mall rules. So so sad that security guard, Mr. Pratt, thinks bc he wears a crucifix that makes him a Christian. He needs to read the Word and get real about his relationship with God.

Once upon a time I envied Americans their country and their freedoms. Not any longer. I have lost all desire to even visit the USA, especially after viewing and listening to some of the self-proclaimed “idiots” who think they are GOD. That grossly overweight security guard needs to be set straight by his employers before customers find another place to spend their money. IMAGINE … you can’t have a conversation about GOD but others can kneel with their asses pointed to the sky praising ALLAH! What in hell has our world become other than a prison for God fearing people?

You just have to feel sorry for Mr. Pratt. He is so misguided when it comes to the gospel. Jesus doesn’t care if you go to church every Sunday, what He cares about is believing in Him as your Savior. He died so we may have eternal life with Him in our Fathers Kingdom. God bless that soldier for his selfless service to keep us free and safe. If he came up to me I would sit and have a long conversation and listen to what he has to say. Never stop learning or teaching the gospel. Mr. Pratt I will pray for you because when Jesus takes His people home you will be left behind. Just because you wear a cross doesn’t make you a Christian. Just as standing in your garage will not make you a car. To the brave soldier, continue to stand up and stand out, speak up and speak out about Jesus. God bless you sir, and thank you.

Business licensed entities do not have input into the law. The mall as a business entity has NO input into the law and cannot “demand ticketing”, that is a choice made only by the police, who in this instance violated federal law. The police are attempting to push their choice of their decision off on the mall business. This is a common crime among Government Employment who cannot stand ground for our legal system. They are on the payroll of the private businesses.

LOL: “I’m probably a bigger Christian than you.”

Personally, I’m not a Christian, but Jesus was CLEARLY a radical, clearly a rebel, and he was killed in an extremely painful way for it.

He may or may not be on solid legal ground in, in effect, saying he can kick anybody out any time he wants for substantially any reason, but I would STRONGLY encourage folks to get the name of the mall into the public domain, because free market pressures alone will force this guys ass out on the street. He belongs to a janitorial service, picking up garbage after-hours, not yanking people’s chains because he can.

This is the worst sort of rent-a-cop. Let’s make him even more famous.

The shame here, aside from the mall (the entity this poster really has an issue with, not the Officer) not permitting sharing the gospel via its apparent no-solicitation rule (can’t read the policy form in this video), is that the poster decided to eventually go jerk on the Mall Officer (for any disagreeing with my point…note how he refers indirectly to the Mall Officer in the closing narrative) . Never mind that the Mall Officer may have gone there first; the poster is the purported “Christian” in his video, and thusly I (dare I say, “we should have”) expected better from him.

I’m not sure that Daniel would have gone this route at the downtown Babylon Nebuchadnezzar Memorial Mall. I’m not even sure Jesus went here when faced with the (dare I compare?) the “mall cops” of his time: the temple guards (as the real cops of the day would have been the Roman authorities) that were sent to seize and arrest him any number of times?

The bottom line here is that the mall’s representative authority on site told them to stop and leave per the mall’s policy – not his. He had that authority (right or wrong, we liking it or not). We are living in a fallen world, trying to reach the lost – not our Lord’s worldly reign. Sometimes you just need to grow up, man up, and deal with it properly – and BIBLICALLY.

Yeah, maybe the poster might have a suite against the mall (Texas, I believe, permits free speech in public malls). But how much did it further the cause of the gospel to the obviously-at-some-level, faith-sensitive, Officer (note I did not say “Believer”) by extensively arguing with him, and treating him like a jerk (deserving or not)? Would any of us like to have Christ treat us like the jerk we all are, and deserve to be treated as?

How much closer to faith in Christ will this Officer be won to after he sees this childish “I’ll show you” video post all over the internet?

If the target of the initial witnessing was still nearby and was watching the poster arguing and taunting the Officer, what does that say about our hearts as disciples?

I am sorry (well, no – actually I’m not) that I have long lost patience and sympathy with my brothers and sisters who purport loving and sharing the gospel of Christ, but then resort to insults, taunting, and belittling those who disagree with them, argue unyieldingly a differing point or opinion, or (in this case) decline to give them a special pass on some rule / ordinance / law that fail to cater to them.

I am afraid what these two brothers accomplished that day, and with this video, is to support and affirm this Officer’s prejudice opinion of what we “radical Christians” are really like. Brothers: as Americans, go ahead and stand for our constitutional rights; even rights that some of you have bravely fought for (God bless you for that). And that I also defended and upheld for 32 years as a Disciple of Jesus who just happened to be a street cop. But do not fool yourselves for one minute into believing you are always serving our Lord and His Kingdom by doing so (and particularly, how you are doing so). But remember, as precious as I hold our rights in this country to be – just how valuable are our rights here on earth, if for the sake of them we help others along their way to an eternity without Christ? The gospel says it will be offensive to many – but it does not say that our character and personalities are supposed to be.

My rant is complete: let the flaming begin for those so inclined.

  66. Sam Lowry

    April 25, 2017 at 1:02 am

“So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.”

Instead, this supposed Navy SEAL is whining and complaining about his rights being violated. He is, in fact, in the wrong. He admitted approaching people and soliciting. He was trespassing. If you’re going to break the law to preach the gospel, at least graciously accept the consequences. I hope he’s not a Navy SEAL. He’s a bad example.

The “Mall Cop”, was falsely stating what the Bible says. He may be from one of the “Free Will” type Churches, that often misquotes the Bible, and may not believe that God is who he is.

Let’s see: its of okay if you butt into someones conversation but then you can’t verify the “law” from whence it came. besides which, he wasn’t holding anyone hostage, they could have left anytime they wanted to by walking away. every time he opened his mouth he slipped ten points, and didn’t look well at all at the end.

I agree with peoples First Amendment Right to Free Speech. I believe in Religious Freedom BUT what the Navy Seal was doing was also wrong. People in the mall (including me) don’t want to be approached by perfect strangers for any reason. This includes God. The Mall copy while an unfortunate representative of a perfectly valid policy, was right. All you above merely agree with the Seal because he’s a vet and you love God. That’s great. I am a combat vet also. That doesn’t give me the unlimited right to do what I want in public places. Sorry guys- you only see what you agree with. You should also be ashamed of fat shaming this guy. Fat Shaming – the last acceptable form of hate speech, discrimination and unaccountable ridicule.

Its the malls rules! if that is true then people need to boycott that mall. You should be able to talk to anyone you want. They say its privet property well its not, its open to the public so when its open its not privet. It becomes public till closing hours. The mall cops are there to stop violence not free speech. Its a power play thing, He feels he is a big man telling people he is the boss. If that was me I would sue them for violating my free speech.

  87. Greg

    May 14, 2017 at 5:41 pm

If that person was approaching others in the mall – people he did not know – then the mall security office is right – However, if he did not approach anyone and was having a private conversation with someone that he was with or met up with the mall security officer was wrong. What this video doesn’t show is if that man that was asked to leave was in fact soliciting his views to those who have NOT asked for it and was approached without an invite. Unfortunately, the Security officer was caught in a mess –

  88. Terry Cilica

God did not go into public places he said go unto all the world and preach the Gospel out side and he will draw people to you . you are just try to cause trouble ,stand in your yard and preach . God doesn’t want you to ask people question he said preach and those who want to hear will come. The security Officer is doing his job

  89. Simeron Steelhammer

    May 15, 2017 at 10:01 am

I would be interested in the outcome of the ticket also. Plus, I would take the next legal step to file discrimination charges against the mall. Its one thing to be handing out things and trying to force people to speak to you, another to be simply having a conversation and then having “security” interrupt your private conversation. And the female, well, they should give her the same ticket.

  90. Tom Dooly

    May 15, 2017 at 1:07 pm

Mall security was doing his job plain and simple . They were enforcing the rules of the mall which is private property it’s that simple and has nothing to do with freedoms and religion . Take it to the street or some were public but you have to respect private property . As a veteran like they stated they should know this which causes me to doubt they were .

  91. Richard Reese

    May 16, 2017 at 8:30 am

If any owner of private property asks you to to leave their property for any reason, and you don’t leave, that is a trespassing offense upon private property.

Ok. Please allow to bring some common sense to this whole conversation. To begin with, I am a born again Christian. We don’t know the exact details of what happened here, so the video is automatically flaud in the sense that it only shows the mall cop kicking out the vet. We need to have seen what the vet did exactly to know whether or not the mall cop was right or wrong. If the vet was indeed have a simple quiet conversation about God with a couple of friends privately, and not making any type of scene, then the mall cop was totally in the wrong and should have left them alone regardless of the conversation. If, however, the vet was going around witnessing to various people, even if it was quietly, the vet was totally in the wrong and should have heeded the mall cop’s request to stop what he was doing. He is right, malls are as much private property as our homes are, so as owners, they have a right to tell people what they can or can’t do ion their property. Regardless, the vet should not have fought back!!! That part was wrong! How could he be speaking about the love of God one moment to one group of people (his friends) and be disrespectful to the mall cop that was just doing his job, following orders from managment, that was giving him respect by asking him to stop solicitng. The mall cop held his composure, and, in my opinion, acted more Christ like in tht situation than the vet!

Mall cop has nothing to do with it! He was just enforcing the policy of the Mall owner. So, why pick on him? He is small potato, the big potato is behind the scene, invisible.
So, Be advised, you will be charged for this type activity, and just figure it in as the cost of being a follower of Christ. Well worth it in my opinion!!!!
