Morning Joe crossed the line by calling the GOP “the party of pedophiles” because of the accusations against Roy Moore.
It’s one thing to say that the allegations against Moore are trustworthy, but saying that the Republican Senate candidate is proven guilty is wrong. And saying that the GOP is “party of pedophiles,” is even worse.
President Trump stated that Roy Moore denied the allegations, and explained that the allegations are appearing after forty years.
“I can tell you one thing for sure: We don’t need a liberal person in there, a Democrat,” Trump stated.
Panelist Willie Geist attacked President Trump as a response to his support for Moore even after the allegations appeared.
“If your moral code doesn’t dictate that you come out strongly against someone who’s been accused of these things, maybe a political, strategic argument would prevail on the president, which is that you win this seat, this Senate seat for Roy Moore, it’s a Pyrrhic victory because you will be saddled, as you all have just said, as the party of a pedophiles for the rest of Roy Moore’s term,” Geist stated.
Scarborough then pointed out that Moore is going to lose to his opponent, Doug Jones, even though several polls show Moore is leading.
John Heilemann added, “Then, in that case, you get the worst of all worlds where you lose the seat, and in the process of losing it you’ve become the party of pedophiles.”
If the Democrats can falsely accuse anyone who opposes them every time they see they are losing, then voters can expect to see this same tactic being used again and again, just like with the 2016 presidential elections.
