In a new video for MoveOn, multiple Hollywood celebrities voiced their support for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman behind the sexual misconduct allegation against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Actresses, such as Julianne Moore, Gabrielle Union, and America Ferrera, state that they believe the actions that Kavanaugh has been accused of while he was in high school were wrong and that they believe Ford.
“We know how difficult it is to stand up to powerful people,” they say. “We want to thank you for publicly sharing your story of sexual violence.”
“He should not be confirmed,” they continued. “We can also imagine how shocking and overwhelming it must have been to your truths shared on a national stage without your permission.”

#DearProfessorFord, you are strong. You are a survivor. And you are not alone. Millions of us have your back. We call on Senators to demand a full, fair and trauma-informed investigation.

“We applaud your courage in coming forward for the public good, and we will be with you as you face the inevitable backlash,” they added.

Other celebrities, such as singer John Legend, have also encouraged the Senate not to confirm Kavanaugh.
While the last-minute allegations against Kavanaugh threw a monkey wrench in the process, HuffPost reported nearly half of those surveyed are not sure if the allegations are credible.
The actions caused Senate Democrats to demand an FBI investigation to take place before voting on Kavanaugh, even after the agency said they won’t be conducting an investigation into the allegations.
