Point of No Return! McCain Abandons Republican Party and Is Caught Begging Senate to…

Is there an issue on which Sen. John McCain wouldn’t act like a liberal Democrat?

It doesn’t seem like it, as once again he criticized the Trump administration on their DACA move.

He said President Donald Trump took the “wrong approach to immigration policy.”

President Donald Trump said last week that he was ending former President Barack Obama’s unconstitutional executive DACA order and giving the Congress a six-month window to come up with a replacement.

From The Hill:

During an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” McCain was asked if he thinks Congress should codify DACA and if he thinks there should be a path to citizenship for the DACA recipients.

“I think yes and yes,” McCain said. “But I think it ought to be done in a comprehensive fashion.”

He says it unconscionable to deport them.

From Washington Times:

“It is not conscionable to tell young people who came here as children that they have to go back to a country that they don’t know,” Mr. McCain said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “And, by the way, there’s 900 of these Dreamers that are serving in uniform in the United States military. Now, are we going to go to the young men or women serving in Afghanistan or Iraq today and say, ‘By the way, you’re a Dreamer, get back to fill in the blank’? We’re not going to do that to these young men and women who are serving in uniform.”

900 serving in the military, but almost 800,000 who are not serving in the military.

McCain said that a DACA replacement should be done as part of a more inclusive immigration reform package.

“I think it ought to be done in a comprehensive fashion,” Mr. McCain said. “A few years ago we passed through the Senate with a vote of 68 votes comprehensive immigration reform — that STEM, science, technology and engineering people, guest workers, a number of other provisions that makes it comprehensive, border security, etc. We need to do that and make that part of the Dreamers part.”

There is already a path to citizenship.

Go out and come back in legally, as everyone you jumped past by entering illegally had to do.

What is the answer in his solution to rewarding illegality?

In my opinion, those who have served in the military should be granted Citizenship upon completion of Service followed by a short period to verify they can pass the Citizenship Test.
And Yes, there should be a slightly different path for the “dreamers” [as they are called, simply because we would have no idea where to actually send most of them because their parents abandoned them so young.
But, should we just open the door wide to let them in without some kind of a “test”… No.
See how they have adapted and assimilated to life in the US, if they have lived their lives “clean” [without a record] and are productive, they should be given a fast-track; Presuming they can pass the Citizenship Test.
However, if they have been arrested for ANYTHING, or have been cited for civil disobedience, or have angles for civil disobenience [such as members of a gang, hate groups or other inappropriate “organization”, etc…] there should be IMMEDIATE ejection from the country.

Poor McCain. Good=bye, John. Time to hang it up. I put it on the Lamestream Media, however, for even giving this old fool the time of day! They’re only using him to bash Trump, but they sure picked a loser for that task! So, these a-hats are all on the same sinking vessel. Absolutely NO credibility!!

Important to remember that Pres. Trump is not talking about children… but adults age 25-30+ who have been here for many years and made no effort to pursue citizenship. As “Dreamers” they had the freedom to do this. Why haven’t they and why should we continue to oblige them? Senator McCain knows this and is playing politics by not exposing this glaring injustice to all those who chose to become citizens the right way.

Don’t be too hard on Senator McCain, He is one of our countries war heroes. He does have cancer of the brain and who knows how much damage that has done. He certainly is not the same Senator John McCain that he used to be. It probably is time for him to step down and let a more competent person take his place. I feel sorry for him but his time has come and gone.

Tired of all the excuses…. How many years is required to become a citizen, and average DACA is in their twenties? No excuses for not becoming a citizen, especially those who had to swear to defend America, the miitary!!

John McCain should just retire he has made enough money off the American People, if he is so gun ho on this DACA let him take care of these so called Dreamers, and if Obama didn’t make it permanent something is wrong with it he made it so someone else had to clean up after him. YOU KNOW MCCAIN I AM A DREAMER ALSO AND I AM AN AMERICAN BORN CITIZEN I would like to enjoy some of the benefits these people get without working my butt off
