Everyone seems to have the answer why Colin Kaepernick does not have a job yet. Some say it’s because of the anthem protests, others say he has no talent, and some even say he doesn’t love football.
And now NFL Hall of Famer Ray Lewis has his opinion saying it his girlfriend.
Lewis points out to one conversation in July when Baltimore front office wanted to sign Kaepernick when Joe Flacco got injured.
John Harbaugh indicated the Ravens were interested in him, saying, “He’s a guy right now that’s being talked about, and we’ll just see what happens with that. … I think he’s a really good football player.”
Steve Bisciotti, the team owner, said he “didn’t like Kaepernick’s anthem protest,” told fans, “We’re trying to figure out what’s the right track, so pray for us.”
Lewis had a message for Kaepernick at the time: “I applaud you for the things that you stood up for, my brother, everybody else can speak for you, but until you speak for yourself and demand what you want to do in life, it’s totally on you. … If you do nothing else, young man, get back on the football field and let your play speak for itself.”
And that was the point when his girlfriend, Nessa Diab, got involved
She posted on Twitter a photograph of Lewis and Bisciotti hugging and compared it to Samuel L. Jackson’s character hugging the slave owner portrayed by Leonardi DiCaprio in “Django Unchained.”
Lewis claimed that because of the tweet Kaepernick lost all chances of becoming a Reven.
“When I and Steve Bisciotti were talking, this is what we were talking about. … We were talking about giving this kid an opportunity to get back in the National Football League,” Lewis stated. “Look, this is what I wanted to share with people. I have been fighting for this kid behind the table like nobody has. … I’ve never been against Colin Kaepernick. But I am against the way he’s done it.”
He also said, “Then, his girl goes out and put out this racist gesture and doesn’t know we are in the back office about to try to get this guy signed. Steve Bisciotti has said it himself, ‘How can you crucify Ray Lewis when Ray Lewis is the one calling for Colin Kaepernick?’”
As Lewis believes that was the last straw for Baltimore.
“When they called me, it was to say, ‘Yes or no?’ … We were going to close the deal to sign him … Steve Bisciotti said, ‘I want to hear Colin Kaepernick speak to let me know that he wants to play football.’ … And it never happens because that picture comes up the next day,” Lewis added.
It seems that Diab doesn’t know how to help her boyfriend, she only gets him in trouble with her racial motivated tweets.
Hmmm… there must be a reason Brock Osweiler keeps getting a chance while @Kaepernick7 sits… what could it be…?
(Hint: it's racism)

And she almost immediately replied to Lewis’ comments with retweeting an article with title “Ravens send Ray Lewis out to make Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend the scapegoat for him still not having an NFL job.”
