A real-life former Disney princess who has had an abortion penned a thoughtful letter in response to a recent tweet from a Planned Parenthood affiliate.
Deanna Falchook, who worked at Walt Disney World in the 1980s, opened up about her past experiences after a Pennsylvania chapter of Planned Parenthood posted a since-deleted tweet urging Disney to create a princess “who’s had an abortion.”

In a Medium post, Falchook said she worked as a singer and dancer for the theme park, noting her voice “was used in recordings as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty for special events and ongoing shows.”
Falchook went on to admit that, when she was 18 years old, she “became pregnant and had an abortion to keep my job as a singing princess.”
