RNC Announces Record-Setting Fundraising Haul, Trolls Democrats On Kavanaugh

The Republican National Committee (RNC) had some good news for President Trump this week about its historic fundraising efforts — and some fun with Democrats in the process over their “help” with the GOP’s surge in donations and the Dems’ doomed “impeach Brett Kavanaugh” strategy.

In an announcement retweeted by Trump on Wednesday, the RNC announced its record-breaking fundraising hall.

“The RNC smashed another fundraising record last month,” tweeted RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. “Between [President Trump’s] accomplishments and our grassroots infrastructure, Republicans are going to be unstoppable in 2020!”

That tweet followed another by McDaniel directed to Demcorats and “Hollywood liberals” thanking them for helping Trump’s re-election campaign raise over $15 million in deep blue California.

“To all the Democrats who demonize half the country…” she wrote, “To all the Hollywood liberals who want us boycotted… It’s because of you that [President Trump’s] team is raising over $15 MILLION in California. Thank you!”

McDaniel also hit Democrats for ditching the constitutional concept of due process in their calls for the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh over unproven allegations presented without key exculpatory information by The New York Times Sunday.

“‘Innocent until proven guilty’ no longer applies. Republicans are guilty of whatever Democrats accuse them of, and when the evidence comes up short, we are still ‘not exonerated,'” she tweeted, quoting Liz Cheney.

McDaniel then tied the impeach Kavanaugh campaign to Trump’s re-election efforts, retweeting a post describing the impeachment calls as “how to re-elect Trump.”

In McDaniel’s tweet touting the record-smashing fundraising of the RNC, she links to an exclusive by Fox News revealing that the committee is expected “to announce this week that it raised a record-setting $23.5 million in August and had $53.8 million cash on hand as of the end of that month — signaling growing GOP momentum heading into the 2020 elections.”

“It isn’t unusual for a committee to perform well when its party controls the White House,” Fox explains. “But, even accounting for that advantage, the RNC’s numbers were significant: the August fundraising total was the highest recorded in August during an off-cycle year by either the RNC or DNC, and the RNC has not had as much cash on hand since September 2016, just before Election Day.”

Together, the Trump campaign and RNC have brought in an impressive $210 million since the start of 2019, which is “more than all the current Democrats seeking to replace Trump raised combined during that period,” Fox notes.

In a statement to Fox, McDaniel again offered some sarcastic credit to the Democrats for helping them bring in the unprecedented August fundraising figure.

“Thanks to boycotts from Hollywood liberals and the Castro brothers doxxing private citizens who support President Trump, the RNC’s fundraising hit record levels in August,” McDaniel told the network.

“The more Democrats demonize President Trump and his supporters, the more boots we can put on the ground to re-elect him,” she added. “Between the President’s accomplishments and our grassroots infrastructure, Republicans are going to be unstoppable in 2020!”

Fox notes that some of the donations are expected to be directed toward “an aggressive strategy to turn liberal-leaning states red in 2020,” including Nevada, New Hampshire, and Minnesota.
