Sarah Sanders Was Asked if National Anthem Protest Was ‘Appropriate.’ Her Response Silences the Room

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders took the podium amid deep controversy over the president wading into the NFL national anthem protest controversy. Sanders was asked immediately about the controversy:

“This isn’t about the president being against anyone. This is about the president and millions of Americans being for something. Being for honoring our flag, honoring our national anthem, and honoring the men and women who fought to defend it.”

When pressed again, multiple times, by reporters asking if Trump’s remarks were “appropriate,” Sanders leveled a response to the room that shut down the question.

“I think it is always appropriate for the president of the United States to defend our flag, to defend the national anthem, and to defend the men and women who fought and died to defend it.”

When pressed again, Sanders made the White House’s position clear:

“It is always appropriate for the president to defend our flag, to defend the national anthem. Hold on, I’m not finished. It’s always appropriate for the president of this country to promote our flag, to promote our national anthem, and ask people to respect it.”

The debate and protests will most likely continue, but at least we know the White House’s position.

Only libtards need the obvious explained to them, and still do not get it. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

I’d say liberalism is treason, terrorism and a crime against humanity but that’s me. Some people can and will not be re-educated. When that happens there’s only one other option- SHOW THEM THE DOOR (OR RATHER THE DOORWAY TO BE MORE SPECIFIC)

She’s wonderful. She takes no BS from any of those pretend-journalists, who are as much traitors as the blacks LM NFL illiterates who are insulting our flag and anthem. They seem to be unhappy. I’d strongly urge for them to move to Africa, where they will feel totally at home.

These “athletes” insult ALL of us MEN and Women who have worn the uniform of the United States, and, sadly so many who have fought and died to allow these pussies the liberty to act in this manner. Disgusting!

The athletes can support their supposed problem outside the football arena! If the NFL is destroyed it’s all on them! Me my family, my friends and all my fellow veterans will boycott any sport that disrespects our national anthem!

I’m not watching them till they get over the racism . Every little thing is racist. You make millions and still can’t figure out how to keep a job. You blame it on no money no education . I’ve seen that money sure doesn’t make intelligent people. People ! look most of the players are black and still on the slavery shit. Get over it grow up losers.if Lincoln could see this I’m sure he’d be disappointed. The American Indians are the ones that got the raw deal. You don’t see them acting stupid.
