Skip Bayless Says Black NFL Players Should Refuse to Play Until Kaepernick Is Signed

The Colin Kaepernick controversy is like the gift that keeps on giving. Now, Fox Sports’s “Undisputed” co-host Skip Bayless is saying black NFL players should refuse to play their first game until the embattled football player is signed.

“If the black players would unite, and say, ‘We will not play Game 1 this year,’” Bayless said Tuesday, “I promise you, it would have an impact and would get something done.”

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback hasn’t received much interest from NFL teams in the months since he controversially took a knee during the national anthem in protest of perceived racial injustice in the United States.

Kaepernick publicly opposed President Donald Trump and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, too, because he didn’t feel either candidate would be good for black Americans.

“Both are proven liars, and it almost seems like they’re trying to debate who is less racist,” he said of the Clinton-Trump presidential debates. “And at this point, I was talking with one of my friends who goes, it was, ‘You have to pick the lesser of two evils,’ but in the end, it’s still evil.”

Earlier in Tuesday’s segment, sports journalist Rob Parker said: “Oftentimes, we hear about the pushback from NFL fans. It’s about damn time the NFL recognizes that black people are fans of the game as well.”

He went on to note that black athletes make up about 70 percent of the players on the field, adding, “We count, too!”

Bayless agreed with Parker.

Last week, Bayless and his co-host Shannon Sharpe talked about why — in their view — so many “white people” dislike Kaepernick. Bayless concluded that most people can’t get past the fact that the NFL star “disrespected” the American flag.

“Most white people deep down know [Kaepernick] is right,” Bayless opined.

The “Undisputed” co-host’s suggestion comes just days after the Miami Dolphins skipped over Kaepernick, signing recently retired Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, 34, to the team with a one-year, $10 million contract.

The Baltimore Ravens were reportedly somewhat interested in Kaepernick, but his chances of a deal there seemingly went south after his girlfriend Nessa Diab suggested in a tweet that the NFL team’s owner is racist:

Her post likened Ravens owner Stephen Bisciotti to a plantation owner and retired player Ray Lewis to an Uncle Tom.

We can not deny the fact that Kaepernick influenced the National discussion, last year. For better or for worse, Kaepernick had an impact on the National discourse, last year. Kaepernick “took a knee,” during the singing of the National anthem. It came out later that Kaepernick recently converted to islam and was in process of being “radicalized” by his islamic consort. “Taking a knee,” was his statement in support of radical islam. Kaepernick took the side of “radical islam,” (the blind expression of hate for America, its symbols, and its non-muslims,) against his native country, who, incidentally, gave him the opportunity to be a professional athlete, when he “took a knee,” during the playing of the National anthem. Kaepernick is not demonstrating against the policies of his government, which is his 1st amendment right, Kaepernick is demonstrating against his COUNTRY. Kaepernick is demonstrating against his Country’s symbols, as if the symbols should only reflect his sensibilities, instead of every American’s sensibilities. Taking a knee during the singing of the Nationa anthem disparages everything that unites all Americans. The flag is the symbol of the country, not of a single government policy. The national anthem is a protestation of our solidarity will our fellow citizens. Not a government policy with which 1 can disagree. Kaepernick wants everyone to support him while he is symbolically betraying our country. Like it or not, islam is at WAR with western civilization. And islam is at the heart of Kaepernick’s actions. “Taking a knee,” is the wrong way to peacefully protest the policies of your government. It is the wrong venue. It is the wrong time. It is flat out WRONG. The muslims know that they are engaged in the Hijrah. So does Kaepernick. And so do some of the American people. While we are at WAR, acts that betray loyalty to our country and its symbols will not be well received by the American people. The muslims are experts in psychological warfare. They are professional victims. However, the American people have been nurtured on our right to choose. (think freedom) We choose not to buy into the Kaepernick victimization. We don’t want to pay him and watch him on TV protesting when he should be playing.(football) That’s the free market system. Our choice. Not some programmer’s choice. If the black professional athletes strike in order to compel us to employ Kaepernick, they will be making a big mistake. They will undermine the very (free) market in which they make their money. Yes, Kaepernick influenced the national discussion last year, however, things have changed. The WAR continues to rage. And fewer and fewer, of the American people, watch professional football on TV or go to their games. Yes, Kaepernick has influenced the National discussion. We talk about islam, now. Don’t we?

YES!! Black players who feel as Kap did/still does, should organize some form of protest to make their point?
BUT NOT ONE IN THEIR ‘EMPLOYMENT UNIFORMS’, for God,s sake!!! It is not their fault for any slight blacks may feel.. You only piss off the Public, your employers, and your professional organization!
What a protest that is, with no obvious point!! Like shooting yourselves, in BOTH your feet!!

If all of the Black players refuse to play; The teams should just replace them with people who don’t want to protest. There are plenty of Caucasians who would love a chance to play in the NFL and make millions of dollars. If the Black players want to forfeit millions of dollars to support Kaepernick; so be it. They can all retire and start collecting their NFL pensions and leave all of that money on the table.

Please do. We need to out the leaches that bite the hand that feeds them. Purge the deluded SJW that think they can force us to tolerate their histrionic insolence.

No Wonder ESPN is becoming increasingly irrelevant. Leave the politics out of sports. Sports is where I go for entertainment not discourse. I can get protests and the like everywhere else. If the black players protest by not playing, replace them. Let them protest on their time. If not Football will continue to be diminished/damaged. People are fed up… haven’t you got the memo?

Kudos on this. Yes, but not just black players, all players should boycott game number 1. The NFL is not supporting your freem and right to free speech and expression. They only care about using their human meat till it’s brain dead. As for this country “giving” the opportunity to earn millions??? What a joke. Colin paid millions to this country in taxes that he paid. Probably more than our fake president paid.

Here’s a twist… Skip Bayless knows Kaepernick is done. So he is wanting blacks to stop playing until Kaepernick plays, which won’t happen. What he is saying is he wants to see only white people playing in the NFL until Colon…I mean Colin plays in the NFL. Sounds like he is tired of seeing black people in the NFL. Minorities do this twisting game all the time. Help them, they say it’s because you think they’re weak and need help. Don’t help them, they say it’s because you don’t care. This game of twisting reality got old long ago! Colin chose to disrespect the country in protest of police brutality. Police brutality doesn’t represent our country. Disrespecting the whole country was a bad idea. He made his choice, franchises in the NFL are making theirs. We all have to live with the consequences of our mistakes. Colin is a victim of his own stupidity. That doesn’t make those who want nothing to do with him racist! Geez!!!

The NFL is what about 75% A.A., but the league is racist? The NFL has made more A.A. millionaires then any industry in the USA, including Hollywood, but the league is racist? His last contract was $126 million with $61 million guaranteed but the league was racist? Skip Bayles is nut job, why FOX took is weird. When Colon Paperneck played well he was rewarded , when he sucked, he was cut! His style of play does not fit in most systemss in NFL. Most teams want a pocket passer. where would he fit? Panthers?

Bayless once again proves he should not have his job. He publicly advocates for people to violate the contracts. With this he has proven what many of us knew. He is bad for the NFL, bad for the fsns, bad for the Network who pays him. There are plenty of people, both black and white, who would be far better at his job. Perhaps it’s time to let him b stay home.

I want to support a plan to boycott skip bayless and his network until he is fired. I fully expect him to support this as it makes as much sense as him supporting his stance on collin. We should all email his employer and demand his firing saying bayless supports protests and he is against his employer and fans so he should be fired. another stupid liberal who thinks the black man can only succeed with his (the white mans) approval. so racist

I could care less if any of them ever played again! Sick and tired of these “players” denigrating my nation as they make millions of dollars a year crying oppression!!! I stopped supporting the NFL years ago and haven’t missed it a bit!!
