On Thursday, one street artist got even with those who have wrought havoc on President Trump’s star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame: tons of stars suddenly were adorned with Trump’s name, making the stars look exactly like the one that has been repeatedly damaged.
Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — that has been destroyed on several occasions — mysteriously multiplied over night so that on Aug. 9 there were 30 stars https://t.co/gPVnCyNPY3

As The Hollywood Reporter related:
The effort comes from a conservative street artist who wishes to remain anonymous, but says he was motivated not only by the destruction of the president’s real star, but also a recent unanimous vote by the West Hollywood City Council to recommend the removal of Trump’s star due to accusations he has mistreated women. The anonymous artist says he’s not done with his mission to preserve Trump’s star. “Rip up the president’s Walk of Fame star or try to have it removed — like you’re the mayor of West Hollywood or something — and 30 more will pop up,” the artist tells The Hollywood Reporter.
The artist and his cohorts, who call themselves “The Faction” and are allies of prolific conservative artist Sabo, spent $1,000 on the stars, which they printed on sheets of floor vinyl with adhesive backing, and their mission was partially financed by “a young and anonymous entrepreneur.”
Trump’s star has endured plenty of vandalism over the last few years; recently a man named Austin Clay took a pickaxe to Trump’s star, even turning himself in to the Beverly Hills Police Department; in October 2016, a man named James Otis confessed he had taken a pickaxe and wrecked the star; Trump’s star was defaced with a reverse swastika in January 2016.
In June 2016, a mute sign was painted on the star; in July 2016 an L.A. street artist calling himself Plastic Jesus mocked Trump’s rhetoric of building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico by circumscribing the star with a tiny wall topped by tiny razor wire.
