After the brouhaha that erupted after socialist darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hilariously insisted that Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro was “catcalling” her by offering her an opportunity to debate or appear on his Sunday special, The Young Turks’ Cenk Uygur, believing he was the valiant knight riding his white steed to the rescue, decided to make a similar offer and throw down the gauntlet to Senator Ted Cruz.
This whole @benshapiro offering to debate @Ocasio2018 issue is ridiculous and shows the bias of the media in favor of the right-wing. Fine, I offer the same $10,000 to debate @tedcruz. Not joking. Guaranteed it gets no coverage. Why won't the bumbling coward Ted Cruz debate me?!

One problem: Cruz has a history of being quite witty on Twitter, and soon Uygur was off his horse and lying supine on the ground.
Stop catcalling me. https://t.co/c2sL7IceA9

Cruz has nailed it on Twitter before: in January 2017, when Deadspin mocked him, asking for proof when Politico said Cruz played basketball weekly, Cruz responded:

In October 2017, after Senator Ben Sasse accidentally dumped a can of Dr. Pepper on Cruz during a Senate hearing, Cruz tweeted:
MEMO TO OFFICE:

In 2016, during the presidential campaign, a meme became popular making the ludicrous claim that Cruz was the Zodiac killer, who committed a series of murders in 1968-69. (Cruz was born in 1970.) After Sasse spilled the Dr. Pepper on Cruz in October 2017, Sasse, joking about the claim in the National Enquirer that Cruz’s father had killed JFK, confessed he was wearing a “Lee Oswald was framed” T-shirt when he spilled the soda on Cruz. Cruz responded:
i was wearing my "Lee Harvey Oswald Was Framed" t-shirt https://t.co/93lKIizkVO
