After Telling Trump ‘F*ck You,’ Jennifer Lawrence Says Country Must Move Past ‘Divide and Anger’

Hollywood A-lister Jennifer Lawrence says the country must move past its political “divide and anger” — despite saying just last year that if she were ever to meet President Donald Trump, she would want to tell him, “F*ck you.”
In a cover story interview with Vogue published Wednesday, Lawrence said there “needs to be a bridge” between people who disagree on political issues.

“We can’t continue this divide and anger. There are issues affecting us as human beings, not as liberals and not as Republicans. We have to protect the foundation of this country, and acceptance,” Lawrence told the magazine.

“If you’re preaching acceptance, accept immigrants, accept Muslims, accept everybody,” she added.

Lawrence’s desire for reconciliation between political foes, however, appears to be far from the position she took toward Donald Trump and his supporters before and after the presidential election.

“If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world,” the Hunger Games star said in 2015 at a promotional press junket.

During an appearance last May on the Graham Norton Show, Lawrence recalled how she once attended a concert at which the Republican presidential frontrunner was also present.

“I was at a concert that I heard he was attending, so I had my full security, I was like, ‘Find Donald Trump,’” Lawrence explained. “Because I was adamant on finding him and then making a video of me going, ‘Hey Trump, f*ck you!’”

In the wake of Trump’s historic presidential election win, Lawrence wrote a post-election message to women published by VICE website Broadly in which she urged Clinton supporters to let Trump’s victory “enrage” them.

“Do not let this defeat you—let this enrage you! Let it motivate you! Let this be the fire you didn’t have before. If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of color, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman—don’t be afraid, be loud!” she wrote at the time.

I WONDER: Did the people in Washington think that Trump only meant Democrats when he set his sites on draining the swamp. I don’t think so. I think the RINO’S got the message too — loud and clear. And, I think they are on board with the Democrats in realizing that they need to get rid of this guy FAST because if he is allowed to stick around — the hunter may well become the hunted. Examples would include John McCain and Mitch McConnell and possibly Paul Ryan. Ryan is a relative new comer to the circle of permanence, and is still new enough that he could be recruited to see the light, say his ten Hail Mary’s and be forgiven. It has only been six months, and the President is just getting to the point where he can view the entire board in this game of chess. What I think is instructive starts with knowing which game is being played: Is it the House of Cards, or are we playing chess. I have never doubted that Trump is a genius. He is hit with all manner of name calling and whether by design or not, the name calling deflects his reality. The man is brilliant at outwitting his opponents into thinking him unworthy of his elected position. I go back to the very night that I realized that Washington was not calling the shots in the primaries and that position had been usurped by the man from New York. It occurred to me the night of the New Hampshire primary debate, and was confirmed the morning after. That night Marco Rubio was blind-sighted by attacks from the New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie. The attack was bloody, unexpected and to the death of Rubio’s ever getting a foot hold on the nomination. The confirmation came the next morning when Christie withdrew his campaign from the field and threw his support behind Donald Trump, and throughout the entire blood letting — Trump didn’t have to say a word. So who will win this game of wills — the RINOS, the Democrats, and the Media OR President Trump and the People. Consider the tweets for a moment; virtually everyone in DC and New York have been trying from day one to silence him from doing that. He refuses, and why — because he already realizes who the Media is and always has been — the tool by which the system has always destroyed or brought to heal new comers who step out of line. Over time there haven’t been many of these special men who in their way took on the system and made a difference; Teddy Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and Ronald Reagan come to mind. Kennedy might have also joined that unique club if he had lived. I think this man, our current president, came along just in the nick of time for the country. Washington had been living so long as the manifestation of Sodom and Gomorrah that their world was so corrupt that they themselves couldn’t even see the realities around them. The country around them was suffering and bleeding while they were eating french delicacies at the Mason Blancne on F Street. Their air wasn’t filled with cigar smoke, but it was and is filled with the air around them being sucked up with their own self importance with every exhale. Well fans — Mr. Smith has returned to Washington. As for the House of Cards, remember the entire premise of that is how flimsy it really is. It is like comparing two gifts – one a key of gold and the other the key of brass. The two metals are different is every way, but the most meaningful is that the brass key will open more doors being the stronger of the two metals.

My thoughts on Lawrence and Depp are they should stick to the things that they know. Stay in your make believe world of Hollywood and be the pretend people that you are and please leave Politics to people who know what they are doing….I also think that real Americans who care about this Country should boycott their movies in the future..
