Powerless Democrats who are desperately trying to stage a coup of democratically elected Republican President Donald Trump are hard at work stacking the deck against him in the witch hunt they are planning about his supposed Russia ties.
Part of their effort to destroy Trump involves getting Trump backing Congressman Devin Nunes of California to step aside. Congressman Trey Gowdy, who has no shortage of experience with congressional hearings, just gave these tricky Democrats some harsh news.
Said Gowdy, “Of course [Nunes] should not step down. Adam [Schiff] was a staunch supporter of Sec. Clinton while he was involved in the Benghazi investigation. And he is a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton even after President Trump won. Nobody is calling on him to recuse himself.”

Continued Trey, “I found it really interesting last week parts of the mainstream media beat the daylights out of Republicans for asking about the source of newspaper articles, and this week all they want to know is Devin’s source. What matters to me is if the information is reliable and authentic.” He added, “Give me your witnesses. Tell me who you want to talk to. I’ll give you mine. Let’s get started. Let’s focus on the investigation. This week has been about politics.”
Trey put Senator Chuck Schumer on notice, saying, “I just love it when Sen. Schumer gives Republicans advice on what we ought to do. Devin is doing exactly what the chairman ought to do. When you have a source that has information, you handle that information safely, securely, which is exactly what he did. Whether it was the White House or Waffle House, what difference does it make if the information is reliable and authentic? It just so happens that Devin had to do it this way. So, we’re not going to take advice from Chuck Schumer on who our chairpeople ought to be.”
