Two Spoiled Teenage Football Players Were Kicked Off The Team For Kneeling During Anthem

Two spoiled teenage football players from Texas decided to kneel during the national anthem before their game Friday. But the protests didn’t last long as the coach took something from them immediately.

Larry McCullough and Cedric Ingram-Lewis quickly learned that Texans don’t like it when some spoiled high school football players disrespect the flag and the country. Friday night they knelt during the national anthem.

Ingram-Lewis, a sophomore, said that the subject of the protest was brought up in the locker room and his cousin McCullough, a senior, also revealed he will kneel on social media. Anyhow, in case the players think that the coach will tolerate disrespecting the anthem, coach Ronnie Mitchem openly told them that he doesn’t allow kneeling.

Mitchem is a pastor and ex-Marine who started to train football players six years ago at Victory & Praise Christian Academy in Crosby, Texas. Seeing how he is a former veteran, he was clear that he doesn’t allow his players to protest the National Anthem. “He told us that disrespect will not be tolerated,” said Ingram-Lewis after kneeling on Friday. “He told us to take off our uniform and leave it there.”

“That was my point of view,” Mitchem said. “Like I said, I’m a former Marine. That just doesn’t fly and they knew that. I don’t have any problem with those young men. We’ve had a good relationship. They chose to do that and they had to pay for the consequences.”

Rhonda Brady, the mother of one of the players who was kicked off the team, said the coach was a man with no integrity.” She said, “Actions speak louder than words. So, for him to do what he did, that really spoke volumes, and I don’t want my kids or my nephew to be around a man with no integrity.”

“I’m definitely going to have a conversation because I don’t like the way that that was handled,” Brady added. “But I don’t want them back on the team. A man with integrity and morals and ethics and who truly lives by that wouldn’t have done anything like that.”

Brady’s comments say a lot about her son’s behavior. Parents who attack a veteran who has contributed to the safety of the country they are living in are the ones to blame for their kids’ disgraceful behavior. If Brady doesn’t teach her kids to respect others is more worrisome than the fact that her son was kicked off the football team.

Way to go Coach!!! You told them before the game not to do it and what would happen if they did take a knee. Well they got what they wanted and now the mom wants to Blame the Coach,Well forget that. I believe that she knew about what they were going to do before the game and she probably told them to do it. Why are people so STUPID? When are they going to learn that if you disrespect America in anyway. That there will be consequences to pay. The Coach made the right call and i am glad he did. This Mother should be ashamed of her son and nephew for their disrespect but it seems that she is just as Stupid as they are. Obama started this about cops shooting Blacks but if you would check the facts, Lighting Bills more Blacks than the Police do in a year. Blacks kill more Blacks than Police do in a year and it goes on so why aren’t they protesting Those? Thank You.

    Proud To Be A AMERICAN!!!

I agree! The children have this behavior because parents don’t know any better. I bet these kids will be disrespectful in their adult lives if the parents keep on misinterpreting such disrespect for the flag as racist. All the problems in this country start from being anti blacks or racist. Not true. It’s the attitude that really matters, not the color.

GLAD THE COACH DID WHAT HE DID . IT TEACHES THOSE UNGRATEFULL KIDS TO RESPECT THE FLAG AND OUR NATIONAL ANTHEME .I BLAME THE PARENTS FOR NOT TEACHING THEM THE RIGHT WAY . I HOPE THEY’LL WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE AND START LEARNING TO SHOW RESPECT . MAYBE THE COACH WILL GIVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE .

A parent who will support this disrespect to the flag is unacceptable! What is their complaint? Have they been indocrinated by falsehoods from their parent! What is their agenda? I bet they don’t even know! They do this now how much more when they go to college or even be a national player! Good for the coach to teach them a lesson! Who are they to disrespect the nation! Bad example from these two! What’s their class standing? Are they excellent in class or just there for sports only! They need to be stopped now!

Good call coach. You warned them, they didn’t comply, so good-by. Their Mother/Aunt’s attitude explains it all. The Mother needs to look up the meaning of INTEGRITY. She has set a poor example for those boys and their future. If that coach gives them a second chance he’s setting a worse example. RULES ARE RULES and a WARNING was given. Hopefully the boys will learn from this unfortunate situation and think twice in their
