VFW Sign Has An EPIC Message For Players Who Kneel During Anthem

I remember watching a marathon in Cleveland and one spectator, standing outside the football stadium, held a sign that read “Cleveland Fans suffer more” as beleaguered runners passed him.

It seems–finally–that Cleveland Browns fans have had enough.

At least those at the VFW post in Strongsville.

Why?

Players have not only lack ability (in the last nine years) but they lack patriotism as well.

And that is the final straw for the VFW.

According to Fox 8 News:

A VFW Post in Strongsville posted a sign that says it will no longer televise Cleveland Browns games.

Tim Zvoncheck of Post 3345 shared a photo of the sign with FOX 8. It says:

“We like our Browns – we love our flag more. Your games will no longer be shown here. God Bless America!”

More than a dozen Brownies “huddled together on the team’s bench Monday night to protest during the national anthem.”Fox News 8 continues:

The group, which included veterans, rookies, starters and backups, gathered in front of some water coolers and behind their teammates who stood on the sideline shortly before the Browns hosted the New York Giants.

Linebacker Jamie Collins, running backs Isaiah Crowell, Duke Johnson and Terrance Magee, safety Jabrill Peppers, tight end Seth DeValve, wide receivers Kenny Britt and Ricardo Louis and defensive back Calvin Pryor dropped to one knee in a circle while rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer, offensive tackle Shon Coleman, punter Britton Colquitt, defensive back Jason McCourty and offensive lineman Marcus Martin stood and supported their teammates by putting their hands on their shoulders.

Refusing to stand for the National Anthem started with Colin Kaepernick, who kneeled during the national anthem last fall because, in a statement from his former team, “The national anthem is and always will be a special part of the pre-game ceremony. It is an opportunity to honor our country and reflect on the great liberties we are afforded as its citizens. In respecting such American principles as freedom of religion and freedom of expression, we recognize the right of an individual to choose and participate, or not, in our celebration of the national anthem.”

This has been the largest protest since Kaepernick started this disgusting tradition.

Few challenge Kaepernick’s frustration, but question his method.

Kneeling during the national anthem is just plain disrespectful.

The flag represents freedom and those who have served and fought (and some died) for your freedom.

If you want to help better society, volunteer your time, your money. Peacefully protest. Write to a congressman. But making yourself the center of attention before a football game just ain’t gonna cut it.

And, that seems to be the response of many in Cleveland as well.

One Ohio Supreme Court Justice, Bill O’Neill, posted on Facebook that he refuses to attend Browns games where “draft dodging millionaire athletes disrespect the veterans who earned them the right to be on that field.”

He said they should be ashamed of themselves.

Indeed, they should.

I think this is great. As I have said before…people stop going to their games and not watching them play on national tv…then the owners will do something about this..for every game they kneel..they lose a days pay. They don’t respect our flag to stand and salute it..they need to go to a country that they do respect the flag. Tired of these over paid athletes. They also need to start losing endorsements. All my family was in the service during all the wars. I have a t-shirt that says…”I think men carrying weapons and defending our country deserve more money then men wearing a helmet defending a ball.”

As soon as you hit the owners in the pocket books things will change you know the saying that crap flows down hell well it does if the owners feel it so will the players. The commissioner also needs to grow some balls.

I BELIEVE THE JUDGE SAID IT PLAIN AND SIMPLE ENOUGH EVEN A TODDLER COULD COMPREHEND, NICLY PUT JUDGE. Now lets replace those in office that have the different view of what it takes to be a true AMERICAN AND ARE WILLING TO LOVE AND SUPPORT OUR COUNTRY AND NOT DO THE THINGS THAT DISCREDIT AND CAST A SHADOW OF SHAME AND DOUBLE STANDARD FOR ITS CITZENS AND THE REST OF THE WORLD BUT LEAD BY AN HONEST EXAMPLE OF TRUTH AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. AMEN ! YES ,YES,.

Just ask UN-employed Colin “Cancer” KaperPrick!
