Viral Video Shows Man Crying Tears of Joy for Trump: ‘Black People Working, Jobs [Are] Coming Back…’

On Friday, a man named Henry Davis released a video in which he cried because it was “a good time to be alive” with President Donald Trump in the White House.

“It’s just a beautiful time to be alive,” he said after touting Trump’s accomplishments.

Davis recalled seeing Trump with a woman who said that the president changed her life.

“He had this black lady come up there and give a little speech about how her life has changed because of some of his accomplishments […] and I’m just so proud, I’m just proud to be an American,” he said.

He seemed to refer to Celia Griffin, a mother of three who spoke at the FoxConn facility where Trump touted economic progress under his administration.

Davis also celebrated how people, particularly African American people, could get jobs under Trump’s administration:

“I’m just crying because I’m just — I’m like it’s a good time to be alive. And to be able to witness what’s really going on. And we got a chance — I’m just talking about from a black perspective. If you really want to work and get up off your a** and do something, you can do it.”

He added that he thanked God for Trump, saying, “Black people working – you know what I’m saying — jobs [are] coming back, factories [are] opening up. He helping with the drug epidemic and all of that.”

Davis: I Respect Obama, But ‘Ain’t Nobody Like Trump’
Davis said that while he respected former President Barack Obama, Trump did better as president.

“And again, Barack Obama, I respected the office. I respected the fact that he was the president, but ain’t nobody like Trump, man,” he said. “If you want to work, [there’s] jobs out here.”

On Twitter, Davis got a lot of feedback, including from the president’s pastor Dr. Darrell Scott:

Scott said he would take Davis to the White House “very soon,” presumably to meet Trump.

Davis seemed incredulous and wondered whether the message was authentic:

In the past, Davis has also posted videos about immigration and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), who recently called on others to harass Trump administration officials at restaurants:

Davis’ video came amid a discussion about Trump’s impact on the African-American community.

The president has continually touted record-low, African-American unemployment during his administration and received support from people like rapper Kanye West and commentator Candace Owens.

After West voiced his support, Trump predicted a shift in African-American attitudes towards the Republican Party:

While appearing on “Fox and Friends,” Trump explained that former President Abraham Lincoln and the Republicans were the ones who pushed to abolish slavery.

“Somehow it changed over the years, and I will say, I really believe it’s changing back,” he said.
