After news broke that the FBI managed to discover the DNC’s remaining smashed drives in Imran Awan’s old apartment, Florida GOP Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz became feeling a little uneasy. Well, now she has an even bigger reason to fear her career and freedom as it was revealed that her faithful aid, who she refused to fire amid the scandal, has finally been arrested.
Pakistani Imran Awan was taken in while engaging into a runaway mission. As you already know, he was the man behind all the obtained files from various Congress members.
According to Bill Miller, spokesman for the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, Awan “was arraigned today in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on one count of bank fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1344. He pled not guilty and was released pursuant to a high-intensity supervision program. The conditions of release are that he receive a GPS monitor, he abide by a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and that he not leave a 50-mile radius of his residence in Virginia. Awan was also ordered to turn over all of his passports.”
Awan did not work alone while serving Wasserman Schultz, but included other members of his family. Ultimately, they all ended up with a $4 million in profit. total.
Leftovers of his equipment, as well as missing files from the DNC’s drives, were found by the new residents at Awan’s apartment, a Marine and his wife.
The FBI has been collaborating with the U.S. Capitol Police, which has been of great help in capturing the criminal, It will only remain their job now to get the truth out him and arrest as many of his associate as possible.
Awan was sued by his own stepmother on grounds of wiretapping and extorting her, but Democrats managed to twist the story to seem as though the man was being mistreated due to Islamophobia.
Comments from Wasserman Schultz or her spokesman, David Damron are still to be announced.
