It was a political star-studded event this weekend at the wedding the daughter of hedge fund billionaire Marc Lasry.
Among the guests were former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary, to whom Lasry, the owner of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, was a major financial contributor during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Chelsea Clinton worked for Lasry’s hedge fund after she graduated from college.
The Clintons were joined at the wedding by former top aide to the Clinton campaign, Huma Abedin, who arrived sans her estranged, and disgraced, husband, Anthony Weiner.

Nice dress…if it had pockets, you’d look like a pool table. Who made it, Omar’s Tent & Awning? Oscar de La Tent? https://t.co/aweNE7oljg

The gala was also attended by the youngest daughter of President Donald Trump, 23-year-old Tiffany Trump and other luminaries, like former New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez and his date, pop star Jennifer Lopez.
Lasry’s daughter, Sophie Lasry, married Michigan Wolverines quarterback Alex Swieca.
Wedding guests and media clamored to get pictures of, and be photographed with, the high-profile stars.
But the big victim of the extravaganza was whatever that monstrosity was that Hillary Clinton was wearing.
It took a veritable beating in the public comments sections.
“That’s what happened to the Democrats “big tent”, Hillary is wearing it. Either that or she is not only big enough to eat hay and pull a wagon, she ate the hay and the wagon. Or perhaps she smuggled the Donald in under there. So many jokes, so little time,” a reader named Redfeather wrote.
“Well Hillary does claim her’s is the “big tent” party,” Don88 agreed.
“Money can’t buy taste, can it?” another reader wrote. “Hillary paid how many thousands for the curtains she’s wearing. Tiff is the only one who looks elegant for a formal wedding.”
“I really like Hillary’s new ‘blue tent’ look,” reader PatLeg added.
And another commenter bluntly called it a “cheap looking mumu.”
Compare that to the stylish fashions worn by first lady Melania Trump whose clothing frequently gets rave reviews.
During her visit, with the president, to France in July she was called “Our beautiful First Lady of style!
Or when the press focused on her clothes, rather than her mission, when she visited a home for abused kids.
And when designer Tommy Hilfiger said “any designer should be proud to dress her.”
But, judging by Hillary’s fashion disaster this weekend, it looks like Melania isn’t the one that needs someone to dress her.
