BOOM: Anti-Trump Rioters Blocking Freeway Get BAD NEWS

We’ve all seen the videos, as so many have gone viral. Drivers are brought to a stop by a mass of protesters – usually anti-Trump or Black Lives Matter. The blocked vehicles even include emergency vehicles such as ambulances, to the disgust of all except the protesters and their cheerleaders on the left. Sometimes, drivers hit protesters, with the latter sent flying.

This is a new phenomenon in America. As such, some states are attempting to craft and pass laws that legally protect drivers caught in these no-win situations.

As reported in The Tennessean, an affiliate of USA Today, legislators in North Dakota are attempting to pass a bill into law that would make “motorists who run down demonstrators on public streets… exempt from prosecution, even if someone is injured or killed, as long as the motorist did not purposely hit the victim.” Also reported was that a bill is being introduced in Minnesota that would make a demonstrator who breaks the law (as in blocking traffic) liable for resulting law enforcement costs. In Iowa, a bill is being introduced that would make a demonstrator who blocks traffic subject to five years in prison.

Another media outlet, News Channel 9, an ABC affiliate in Chattanooga, TN, reported that a bill has been introduced in that state which, if it becomes law, would render a demonstrator who blocks traffic and is subsequently hit by a driver unable to sue the driver for injuries, unless the demonstrator was struck intentionally.

“We believe that citizens have the right to protest,” said Senator Bill Ketron (R-Murfreesboro), who introduced the bill. He further stated, however, “There is a procedure for peaceful protests and the purpose of that process is to protect the safety of our citizens. Protesters have no right to be in the middle of the road or our highways for their own safety and the safety of the traveling public.”

Needless to say, those who take part in aggressive street protests did not agree with the contents or purpose of the bill.

Chattanooga resident Katie Jacobs, who took part in the Women’s March on Washington following President Trump’s inauguration, said: “Oh you’re protesting so it’s your fault if you get hurt. I feel like that’s the attitude some people would take. And that’s not the direction we want to go in.”

People like Ms. Jacobs display in full glory the mindset of the demonstrators on the left who have become more and more bold with their anarchy in the past year. They simply want mob rule and freedom to commit dangerous and unlawful acts.

One can hear the cries of outrage from the anarchists, the progressives, and the media propaganda specialists, arguing that if these bills – and the others that will surely follow – are passed, demonstrators’ lives will be put at greater risk. But, as always, the safety and wellbeing of drivers simply trying to go about their daily business is completely pushed aside.
