BOOM! Mitch McConnell Just Dropped the Hammer on Chuck Schumer – Liberals are OUTRAGED…

Make no mistake, what the Democrats are doing in the fight to block Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch is pure obstructionism. When Gorsuch was appointed to the Federal bench ten years ago he was overwhelmingly approved by Republicans and Democrats alike — including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Chuck Schumer!

But now that he’s up for Supreme Court Justice, the Democrats are accusing him of being a “fringe candidate” who’s out of the mainstream. What??

Well, with Senators Coons and Leahy now safely on Schumer’s ridiculous band wagon, it looks like the Democrats have enough votes to filibuster Gorsuch’s nomination. Fortunately, for Gorsuch and Trump, McConnell is willing to play hardball and take a play from the Democrats’ playbook by invoking the “nuclear option,” which allows him to confirm Gorsuch by a simple majority vote.

Here’s what McConnell said on Meet the Press this weekend:

“I can tell you that Neil Gorsuch will be confirmed this week. How that happens really depends on our Democratic friends. How many of them are willing to oppose cloture, on a partisan basis, to kill a Supreme Court nominee? Never happened before in history, in the whole history of the country. In fact, filibustering judges at all is a rather recent phenomen[on] started by your next guest, Senator Schumer, after George Bush 43 got elected president. We didn’t used to do this. Clarence Thomas was confirmed 52-48, the most controversial Supreme Court nominee in history. And not a single Senator said he has to get 60 votes.”

BOOM! McConnell for once is standing up to the Dems in as tough a manner as he does his own party. Maybe now he’ll get on board and fight as hard for the rest of Trump’s agenda, but don’t hold your breath.

Still for now, let’s at least give credit where credit is due and say, “Nice job, Mitch! Now keep it up!”
