Cameras Stopped Rolling, But It Doesn’t Look Like Behar and McCain’s Explosive Clash Over Trump and Bush Did

The ladies on “The View” took a moment during a segment to discuss the legacy of former President George H.W. Bush following his death on Friday. However, the moment turned into a fiery clash between two hosts, as one tried to use it to bash President Donald Trump.

Co-host Joy Behar didn’t let her distaste for Trump pass by, as she tried to twist the segment on Bush into a focus on the current president — and later reportedly slamming her co-host as an “entitled b***h.”

During the discussion, Behar said that Trump was “trying to unravel” everything Bush and former President Barack Obama did about pollution. Shortly after, co-host Meghan McCain asked if her fellow hosts could stray from the topic of Trump during the discussion on Bush.

“This president that we have now is trying to unravel everything that he did and Obama did, and if I ever become a one-issue voter, it will be about pollution and the greenhouse effect,” Behar said.

“Can we focus on the president, please. I don’t want to talk about Trump, we’re honoring a great president,” McCain said.

“Well, I do,” Behar responded.

“Excuse me a second, please. I want to talk about…” Behar said before McCain quickly jumped back in.

“We’re honoring a great president who passed and I’m not interested in your one-issue voting,” McCain said.

The co-hosts then began going back and forth at each other:

BEHAR: “I don’t care what you’re interested in. I’m talking!”

MCCAIN: “Well, I don’t care what you’re interested in, either, Joy!”

The fireworks continued as co-host Whoopi Goldberg cut to commercial break.

The clash between McCain and Behar continued into the commercial break, as Behar reportedly threatened to quit the show and bashed her co-host.

According to the Daily Mail, Behar said she’d leave the show if “this s**t doesn’t stop” and then reportedly called McCain an “entitled b***h.”

“Get this b***h under control!” Behar reportedly said. “I’ve tolerated a lot of s**t on this show, but I’m at my wits’ end with this entitled b***h. Enough already! Enough already! I’m not playing nice any longer.”

“I don’t know why she’s so upset,” McCain reportedly said. “I just wanted her to focus on President Bush and not bring Trump into this for once.”

Prior to the clash, there were heartfelt moments on the episode honoring the late 41st president’s legacy.

Bush died Friday, November 30, just eight months after his wife died, and the nation continues to mourn the loss of the 41st president. He will lie in state in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda until Wednesday, with the funeral to be held Wednesday at the National Cathedral — the last time the former president will be in Washington, D.C.
