Mark Zuckerberg Hits Trump on his border wall and Immigration Policy’s,saying that we should “keep door open to all refugees” and not “build walls”.
In a post on Facebook Mark Zuckerberg slammed Trump and said that we need to keep the US borders open to refugees who need a safe haven. This statement from the Facebook CEO came after Mr Trump signed a new executive order establishing new refugee vetting measures.Zuckerberg also said that America is a “free open country that does not build walls”.
Here is the full text of Zuckerberg’s Facebook post:
“My great grandparents came from Germany, Austria and Poland. Priscilla’s parents were refugees from China and Vietnam. The United States is a nation of immigrants, and we should be proud of that.
Like many of you, I’m concerned about the impact of the recent executive orders signed by President Trump.
We need to keep this country safe, but we should do that by focusing on people who actually pose a threat. Expanding the focus of law enforcement beyond people who are real threats would make all Americans less safe by diverting resources, while millions of undocumented folks who don’t pose a threat will live in fear of deportation.
We should also keep our doors open to refugees and those who need help. That’s who we are. Had we turned away refugees a few decades ago, Priscilla’s family wouldn’t be here today.”
Hopefully Mr Zuckerberg Will come to his senses and understand that Mr Trump’s refugee ban is only temporary and the ban is not targeted at the good skilled workers that Zuckerberg likes to hire and so deeply cares about. However he does not care about them as the only reason Zuckerberg likes to hire skilled workers form these areas is because of the fact that he can pay them much less than someone from America.
