As you know by now, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals blocked President Trump’s executive order immigration.
One of the judges said, “The government has pointed to no evidence that any alien from any of the countries named in the order has perpetrated a terrorist attack in the United States. Rather than present evidence to explain the need for the Executive Order, the government has taken the position that we must not review its decision at all.”
This, of course, is full of illogicality. For example, it is generally known that a country CAN be dangerous, whether or not they have killed Americans.
However, the Republicans have had enough!
Fox News reports that Senator Jeff Flake introduced a ruling that could actually break up the “nutty” 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
He introduced a legislation that will remove six states out of the 9th Circuit and actually create brand new 12th Circuit. The argument here is that the 9th circuit is too big, too liberal and too slow.
“It represents 20 percent of the population — and 40 percent of the land mass is in that jurisdiction. It’s just too big. We have a bedrock principle of swift justice and if you live in Arizona or anywhere in the 9th Circuit, you just don’t have it,” Flake said to Fox News.
He also added, “The problem is the judges in the 9th Circuit, particularly the liberal judges, don’t want to give up any of their jurisdiction,” Flake said.
Finally the Republicans are doing something about this. At this moment, President Trump needs all the support he can get.
