Last year New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio criticized the Chick-fil-A restaurant for expressing their traditional values in marriage. He openly encouraged New Yorkers to boycott the restaurant chain.
“What the ownership of Chick-fil-A has said is wrong,” de Blasio said in May of 2016. “I’m certainly not going to patronize them, and I wouldn’t urge any other New Yorker to patronize them.”
Other Democrats also attacked the Christian restaurant, like City Councilman Danny Dromm who said: “Chick-fil-A is anti-LGBT.”
The statement came after the after Chick-fil-A CEO Dan T. Cathy issued a statement saying that his company believes in “the biblical definition of the family unit.”
Yes, that is right, the liberals will attack anyone who doesn’t agree with them or believes in the traditional values.
Unlike the liberals, the Christian restaurant has done everything to make their costumers feel comfortable, including those with different values.
Apparently, de Blasio and Dromm, have forgotten that people can hold on to their moral values and still love and respect others who don’t share the same viewpoints like them.
But unfortunately for Blasio, his boycott didn’t work, the restaurant just announced that they are building the “largest Chick-fil-A ever,” in Manhattan.
The restaurant will be located close to the 9/11 Memorial and Freedom Tower. Their plans are to build a 5-level restaurant with high ceiling windows to create a panorama view.
“The Fulton Street metro station is right next door to the restaurant, and no one will ever build on top of it,” said Chick-fil-A design manager Nathaniel Cates. “That means our guests will always have the same views of Freedom Tower.”
This is the best revenge that Chick-fil-A could have served them. Maybe the restaurant’s management would not say those exact words but it is certainly proving that all the attack didn’t hurt so much.
