Melania Goes Full Mama Bear When Asked About Attacks on Son Barron: ‘It Does Make Me Angry’

Melania Trump is not only the U.S. first lady and wife to the president but she’s a mother, and she’s continually standing up in defense of her son.

Appearing in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Trump blasted those who have used her son, Barron Trump, as a way to take aim at President Donald Trump.

The first lady said, “It does make me angry” that critics go after her 12-year-old son because “children should be off limits.”

“I protect him and I want to give him as normal a life as possible,” Trump said, mentioning that a life in the White House isn’t a normal life, but she’d “like to protect him and give him the childhood he deserves.”

She described her son as strong and tough amidst the chaos and one who is enjoying life in Washington, D.C.

“He has a soft, beautiful heart, but he’s a fighter too and he’s very strong,” Trump added.

The first lady has a heart for children, as her “Be Best” initiative strives for children to “grow up [as] responsible adults.”

Trump shared during the interview that despite those critics who come after her, she tries to rise above it all, as IJR Red reported.

“I do what I think is right. I know I will get the criticism – from the public or from the media – but I will do what is right and what I feel is right for the country and for the people,” Trump said.

“That’s why I say I want to stay true to myself and listen to myself and what to do and what is right, what is wrong and live a meaningful life every day.”
