Never-Trumper Applauds President After Worrying He Wouldn’t Be ‘Good Republican’: ‘He’s Changed My Mind’

During President Donald Trump’s rally in Tampa, Florida this week, a man who thought the president wouldn’t be a “good Republican” revealed that now he might just get his 2020 vote.

Speaking with Fox News, the man admitted, “I was worried he wouldn’t be a good Republican and, honestly, he’s changed my mind a lot.”


“The best thing he’s done in my opinion is the tax cuts and the Supreme Court pick, and if he keeps doing a good job, I will — so I didn’t vote for anybody in this very last election, but this time around I probably will vote for him,” he continued.

Although dismissed as “crumbs” by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), President Trump’s tax reform package resulted in salary increases and bonuses for many American workers and soaring jobs numbers in recent months.

While he’s receiving pushback from Democrats, the president’s second Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has been embraced by most Republicans in the Senate, with even hold-out Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announcing his support:

These improvements, along with the president’s “Make America Great Again” agenda, led the Never-Trumper to come around.

“I agree with him. I think we need to make America strong again. We need to make America great again,” he said. “And I like most of what I heard, so you know, coming from a guy that didn’t like him to liking him now, I think that’s a step up, right?”
