Photo of Trump with Neo-Nazi Goes VIRAL – There’s Just ONE Problem…

It’s easy to go viral spreading fake news on Twitter – and you don’t even have to take much accountability for it even if you apologize!

It’s simple: just make a wildly outrageous claim about President Donald Trump, get it retweeted hundreds of thousands of times, and then when you’re inevitably corrected, issue a “retraction” tweet that only a few hundred people will bother to share.

Yesterday’s white supremacist rally in Charlottesville gave plenty of opportunity for both sides of the political spectrum to spread misinformation, such as the alt-right misidentifying the man who drove his car into a crowd of counter-protestors as a Leftist himself, and those on the Left trying to claim that Trump is somehow connected to the members of the rally he denounced.

Take the following as exhibit A:

25,000+ retweets and 30,000+ favorites – not bad.

Only one problem: it’s bogus. Unfortunately, none of those who shared the original tweet seemed to care enough to correct the misinformation they spread.

And the hilarious excuse: “hey, Nazis do support the man!”

If candidates are accountable for the actions of their supporters, we’d love to see Hillary Clinton address the fact that one of her supporters shot up Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub in what was the worst mass public shooting in American history. Of course, that’s a standard no reasonable person would hold her too, and anyway, Mr. Sanchez appears to have missed the memo on David Duke.

Great journalism there bud.
