REVOLUTION! Town Takes DEFIANT Stand On Muslim Refugees…White House In SHOCK!!

Wow, talk about David taking on Goliath.

One small township in Michigan is fighting back against the federal government – specifically, against White House wishes, President Obama pressing and Justice Department intimidation.

They are refusing to take part in one of the INS’s most controversial issues – the resettlement of Muslim refugees!

Here’s the basic run-down from Breitbart…

“Waterford Township trustees in Oakland County, Michigan, passes a resolution on Monday telling the federal government not to resettle any refugees, including those from Syria, within the township’s boundaries, until the program ‘has been significantly reformed.’”

Considering Waterford Township has a population of 72,000, and sits within the geographical center of the largely Democratic-leaning, significantly larger Oakland County – population 1.2 million – and moreover, is standing virtually alone against the well-funded, liberal-progressive federal government, the resolution takes guts.

It states, in part: “[T]he Charter Township of Waterford will not actively participate in the Refugee Resettlement Program until the Program has been significantly reformed, and until it has been demonstrated that the Townships of Oakland County have the capacity to absorb refugees without diverting funds from needy residents or exposing their residents to unwarranted security risks.”

Residents say refugees will overtake their community, and devastate it financially and economically.

“We’ve got so many people who need jobs in Waterford, what are you going to do with the refugees that come in here? You’re going to feed them, you’re going to clothe them, you’re going to house them,” one resident said, Breitbart reported. “We can’t afford that. We’ve got veterans that need help.”

Tennessee is in process of suing the federal government on Tenth Amendment grounds, saying the Constitution gives states the right to refuse refugees. Other suits filed by Texas and Alabama over the refugee resettlement plan – alleging the feds violated the Refugees Act of 1980 with its demand for states to take the refugees – have lost in federal district court, but are now on appeal.
