Trump Makes The BIGGEST Announcement Yet About Vietnam Vets – THIS IS INCREDIBLE

Those returning from the Vietnam war weren’t treated well once setting foot back on American soil.

Liberals would spit on them, put them down, and even beat them for serving their country.

Many ended up homeless, on drugs, and lost their families because of the atrocious things they experienced while in Vietnam and the horrendous reception they got upon their return.

“When people come back from war and combat and they see maybe what the people in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it,” Trump said in a speech to the Retired American Warriors PAC in Virginia, according to the New York Daily News.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) has led to many suicides. It’s really come to the forefront in recent years.

There are still 22 suicides per day in the US from veterans suffering from PTSD, and President Trump has vowed to fix the broken Veteran’s Administration to make sure those who need help get it.

Out of the 2.7 million U.S. service members who served in Vietnam, more than 58,000 were killed and more than 304,000 were wounded, Military Times reported.

From Conservative Tribune: President Trump thinks it’s time to also receive the recognition they never received when returning home, and he “signed a bill designating March 29 as an annual National Vietnam War Veterans Day.”

“The bill was sponsored by Republican Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania and Democrat Sen. Joe Donnelly of Indiana.”

Trump tweeted, “Tonight I’m proud to sign S. 305, which encourages the display of the U.S. flag on National Vietnam War Veterans Day tomorrow, March 29th.”

Hopefully, those who served in the 1960s and 1970s will feel the appreciation that is much deserved.

Be sure to mark your calendars, fly your flag, and above all thank a Vietnam vet for their service.
